San Jose vs The Beard.

Maybe I should introduce YOU to the AZB guys, since I have MORE posts on this forum than you in less time! <--That's from trying to peddle your exciting '3-cushion billiard books'...Hows that goin' for you ? :o :o :oBTW, his nickname is "Claim Jumper," He thinks ANY Man's woman is fair game and dumping "stake horses" is just another stepping stone to belly up to the bar for another night! :p These are the FACTS!

Bill Smith "Mr3Cushion"

P.S. If any members would like to read what SJD REALLY thinks about the members here at AZB, just visit, http://onepocket.org then You'll realize who the REAL SJD is!

Dear Mr. 3-IQ,

Your 'weak' fallacies did not work over there, and they won't work here either !...Puleeeeze do not force me to "EXPOSE" your many, many, many shortcomings to the world !...Or maybe I'll just let Old School, or Dennis do it !..You are not worthy of my time and effort !

I shall not bore these guys, with any further replies to you, so just babble away...People will figure you out soon enough, by your own actions !

PS..I'm sorry Fred, I REALLY do feel for you !...Look what YOU started ! :p

Abso-f-ing-lutely astonishing !!!....

Beardmonster,..nothing amazes me more than the attitude you have, that YOU and your ego, are in COMPLETE control of the forum's !

Please allow me, to one more time, give you a dose of reality !..The only reason the thread
ended, (or stalled) is because you stopped responding, and went into your oft displayed, thin
skinned, "POUT MODE" !..

There are NO/ZILCH/NADA 'flame wars' without your 'holier than thou' participation !..:embarrassed2:......
Also Fred, Mr. 3-IQ butting in, and [sic] "helping you out" (as usual)...may have been a bit more than you could stomach..! I do admire your resolve though.. If Mr. 3 IQ, were the ONLY illiterate idiot on my team, I would have shot myself in the head long ago !..:sorry:

Chicago is like the city version of Canada.

Its a great place, with lots of great things going for it, but culturally the people from there are always butthurt and overcompensating because it is overshadowed by Big Brother.

There's the reason Chicago people always claim their city and its residents are the best/invented/innovated/perfected everything ever. It's pretty understandable when you think about it.

You must have missed my many posts in NPR. I think Chicago is a shithole, full of incompetent and corrupt politicans that bankrupted the entire city. The only thing we got is good pizza, after that, sink it to the bottom of Lake Michigan :)

"Corruption!"

San Jose DIck

Dick you are still funnier than hell.
I enjoyed the times you stopped by my pool bar the Northern Lounge in Glendale AZ for a beverage. Your wit and stories are priceless. I have to say folks Dick is pretty cool.
Probably in 2008/2009 cuemaker Judd Fuller was coming to Phoenix to see his long time friend Bakersfield Bobby and deliver me and a couple friends a few of his cues. (Still playin with an '02 JUDD) We got ahold of Dick and talked him into coming down to see Bobby. Me and a couple friends quietly ponied up a few hundred bucks and talked these two gentleman into playing some 8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball sets for the loot for everyone at the bar to sweat. That night the bar was treated to something special.
Now I was born in '67 so I personally didnt know all the history of these two players careers, but have known Dick from around the metro Phoenix area for many years and ALWAYS enjoyed his company.
Bobby stated he hadn't even picked up a cue in like 15 years but played none the less for all of us. All three matches were controlled by Dick as his skills even then were still pretty damn crisp. And his wit and charisma was still spot on. Many of us still talk about that night and just how enjoyable it was to see these gentleman match up for our treat. Dick, I dont remember from that night if you guys said you had ever played each other all those years ago or not. But if you did maybe you can share it with us.
If i was home right now I would post a couple pictures from that night, maybe when I get off tomorrow I will add them to this post.

Oh and Dick, one thing. On this forum, try to keep from getting into a battle of wits with unarmed participants. :D

SJD is a stand-up guy (unless he's drunk) and he is funny as hell. He played better than anyone who posts on this site and better than anyone who has ever posted on this site. He has forgotten more about onepocket and other pool games than most here will ever know.

So he played better than Billy Incardona, Johnny Archer, Dennis Hatch, Scott Frost, Ray Martin, Darren Appleton and many other champons who have posted here?

I will agree that Dick was a player in his day and has lots of pool stories but the above statement that he knows more and has forgotten more is quite a stretch.

John,

SJD played in his prime before some of those guys and he has Frost stuck. They could not beat him if they were all in their prime.

P.S. Daz came to him for 1Pocket lessons.

Well it's often silly to get into the speculations about past matchups but I bet Billy Incardona might not agree that SJD was better. We could ask him.

In One Pocket sure, SJD knows more than Daz....but your statement was a bit more general than just one hole imo. Efren also took one pocket lessons at one time......doubt any of those who helped him back in the day would dare to claim they know more than Efren now.

Artie might also disagree about whether SJD was better, but I don't know if Artie ever posted here. We could ask him though on 1p.org

Grady used to post here - do you think SJD knew more about one pocket than Grady did?

Just saying, SJD was a player but to say he is the best who ever posted here is out of line IMO. Of course everyone has opinions.

He just hits it better than others.

Artie might also disagree about whether SJD was better, but I don't know if Artie ever posted here. We could ask him though on 1p.orgAB is MIA and writing his autobiography. Good luck asking him anything.

Grady used to post here - do you think SJD knew more about one pocket than Grady did? When Cornbread Red said "those phony ole T.V. shots" he wasn't referring to SJD, he was referring to Grady. What would you think?

Everyone does have opinions John and you've seen mine.

John, "I" certainly never thought I was the best poster ever, anywhere !..But, this was a pretty fun thread, from a while back...Sadly, both Grady and the Beard have passed since the thread was started...I miss them both, immensely..I have never felt the need to brag, (very often :embarrassed2:) but, if you really want to know what Grady and Cardone thought of my game, there are plenty of old threads where they did the bragging for me. (just ignore Mr3-IQ's 'clever' inserts...he thinks HE is the best poster, ever) ;)

Do a little research, (on onepocket.org) and you will find a lengthy post by Grady, about Cochran's, and also another where he was trying to promote a 10K partner 1P game with him and I, against Cardone and Artie B..You'll find those posts, very enlightening... Also, both of them (and Scott Frost) had some very kind words for me, at my induction into the HOF..If you are too busy to look them up, I will PM them to you !

SJD

PS..Kudos to you, for having the self-deprecating humor, to post those hilarious photo's, from your
match with Lou..They are a riot !...(hope you have been working on your form :p)

And it is no secret that Freddy taught Efren the intricacies of the game of one pocket many years ago in Chicago. Freddy was a pool player who had an exceptional high IQ, thus, 1P would be right up his alley, and it was. Freddy's banking game obviously made his one pocket game strong as hell, because you could not really leave him safe to often, he banked from everywhere :)

Plus, one of his best friends in the world was Artie, who was a mainstay at Freddy's pool room....Artie's apt was only 100 yards away from the front door ;)

Biily was another very good friend of Freddy, not to mention quite few other top 1P players of the day. Heck, Grady and Freddy spoke all the time. So, yeah, knowing what I know about SJD on the forums from folks that saw him in his prime, and seeing Freddy play in his prime, I make no predictions, other than it would have been a HELL of a game to watch, but probably not as fun as the barking that would have taken place before the match ;)

RJ..You were making a little sense, until you stated a game between Fred and I, would have been worth watching...
If we had played even, it would have been a 'HELL of a boring game' to watch !...Fred himself, (before we started feuding)..admitted he wanted no part of my action...He's not here to defend himself, but, in case you've never noticed,
he did not concede much, to ANYONE !...And as Fred himself liked to say, "There are plenty of people who know"..

SJD

PS..In all his trips to California and the South back in the day, I was very good action, and VERY easy to find !..There was
also a very good reason we never played...I'll let you figure out why !
