Dude,
Put that carrot and stick routine away.

I haven't been in Indy for 10-11 years and have no stake in it, I'm just telling the truth... The way it sounds in the other thread, patience is wearing thin and paradise might be lost.

Johnny, Rhea is from here. I beat her the last c player tourney we had at the rail. That was a couple years ago but she is no spring chicken and I would guess prob about your speed right now at best.
Money in the pocket has a way of warming up until it burns its way out of the pocket.

Today was pretty decent, I played in a handicapped tournament as a B+... when I cut in my final ball I put outside on the ball and it followed the tangent line directly into the corner pocket exactly what I was trying to avoid.
Traveling with Strong Arm, you could write a book on that but it would look like the old Encyclopedia set instead of a book.
LOL
Hey there C.J. This might have been beat to death already on other threads?(dunno actually) but what about a Mary Avina/ Rhea match for the cash? Perhaps something like that could happen when you head east.
Of course it did.
They had you handicapped too high.

Scott...I don't disagree with you a bit. In fact, that she didn't recognize that the CB was going to scratch (and what to do to prevent it) tells me that she still doesn't have a good handle on fundamental pool physics. Not only that, but letter 'grades' mean very little. Someone who is A+ one place, might be a B player somewhere else. Going from being a D player to a B player, in less than two months is just about unheard of...especially without serious disciplined practice (and solid personal instruction...not just about 'how to match up right), which Rhea isn't interested in. She just wants to play and gamble...which is normal, and one thing that prevents quick serious improvement for some players. That said, hanging around better players can help someone's game a lot in a short time too! I still wish both of them good luck in their travels!
Scott Lee ~ been there, done that...got the t-shirt!

Today we spent time at Breakaway billiards. I got to practice for about 5 hours playing the 9-ball ghost while Gene gave free mini lessons all night to the APA league members. Breakaway is a really nice place and has tournaments every Friday night race to 3 on the winner and loser side. I intend to compete in the tournament this Friday.
Last night I practiced for 2 hours at Pockets billiards playing a game called Glick or aka irish billiards. A game where you rack 9 balls and break the rack like 9 ball except on every shot you try to purposely scratch by caroming off of an object ball. You keep track of your scratches in a row as your high run. My high run was 9 last night but I am hoping next time I do this drill to beat my previous score.
