I see Shane signed a multi-year deal with Yalin Tables and CW. Cuetec his sponsor is owned by Imperial International who sell tables. I'm sure Cuetec won't be with him long, if he's not already gone. Johnnyt

It's all China anyway.

Curious

I wonder if Yalin tables likes the announcement/communication showing their two new player reps playing on Diamond tables?

I did not see the date. I guess I am all gone. Sorry about the thread I stated. Johnnyt

It's not a problem, JT, with not noticing the date on an article. What is a problem, though -- and I'm speaking in general here, not pointedly at you -- is that folks, being stuck in a "pool's so in a malaise" state of mind, go looking for articles that substantiate this position, and post to the forums with the "See? See? Watch the negative result happen..." thing. That's what JCIN was referring to with the "2 + 2 = Potato" thing.

Anyway, no harm done (to Shane, anyway, and at the very least).

I've seen a few players make good and bad decisions over the years with product endorsement. Time will tell.

A more recent example of this sort of thing... I noticed the US Open 9b was sponsored by
2 competing ball manufacturers, aramith and cyclop. No cyclop balls were used so I guess
cyclop was just doing it to get the occasional mention in stream and print ads.
But anyway it shows pool's not entirely cutthroat.
