Rhea the new Chapter, without Gene

Good chance his names Greg. Known to stiff everyone. Especially women. He's done it in Houston also. But he's from that area up north near Dallas

My source says not Gregg. That was a good guesd though. I have been
Told the airrifleman has been barred.Barred agsin for what that is worth.
He is good action when certain "precautions" are taken.:grin-square:

I watched Sarah Rousey one night about six years ago gambling fairly large in a small pool hall in Durham NC. She had two rather large guys with her, they did not play pool. They were pretty quiet and kept their eyes on every single guy Sarah played, it was REAL obvious why they were there. The person that stiffed Rhea is a low life and sometime, somewhere it will catch up with them. Rhea might consider getting someone to watch her back now that Geno's not there to do it..

Yeah, I would highly recommend making your opponent pay after each loss. If you have someone you can trust hold the money as posted by both parties is another way to address it. But, traveling and playing by yourself is risky. There are a lot of 'hustlers" that will play you for the world and don't have the money to cover. They will keep running it back hoping that they can get even, knowing they have no intention of paying you if they lose anyway. Making someone pay up after every loss is the best way to address that. At least then you either get paid or you minimize the bullshit. I learned that lesson when I moved to Milwaukee back in 1999 at Lenny's on Wisconsin.

Wow Texas has been no picnic, I've gotten a little action in Dallas ft worth and in Arlington. But one guy in Arlington stiffed me for $400.00. Sometimes winning isn't enough.

None of my business but a quick fix for getting stiffed on that $400.00 would be to find the meanest guy you can and tell him that half of it is his if he can get it back for you. Just be careful that he doesn't land you both in jail.;)

Now this is the right idea. First of is to post. 2nd is to make him pay dearly for stiffing you. Johnnyt

Sometimes it isnt worth it.In this case landing in jail may be the lesser
of two evils.
Remember the Croce line..I dont care if you have a custom made 2
piece pool cue you dont tug on supermans cape...

Airrifler is not Superman, but I wouldnt push that issue.Sometimes you
Need to realize playing without posting is your fault

Playing in the Thursday night tournament at Rusty's in Arlington. Race to three nine ball on the nine footers. Won my first two matches so far.

Also won two races to three getting the call seven from a local for twenty a set right before the tournament started. Three to zero and three to one.

Rhea's not "on the run"!

Rhea's trained via 3 yrs Army & an Expert Shot @ almost 6 ft tall & 40 yrs old, Scott. Rhea, can take care of Rhea & knows the Game.

unfortunately, Gene had to come in off of the road, for obvious family reasons. so that Gene - could take care of Gene....

.

I'm five foot seven btw

Playing at Volcanoes tomorrow night, then at Rusty's in Arlington in the OBcues tour this Saturday and Sunday, then headed to Austin on Monday. Playing in Round Rock Texas at Skinny Bobs next weekend.

I got stiffed about a month ago also Rhea.....

His name is black don

I was at Shooters in Burnsville and this player that was in the tourney wanted to play me some bar table 9 ball for $20 a game.

I was stealing though. Quickly I gave him a pretty big spot, raised the bet to $40 and beat him out of $380.

He quit and said he had lost all his money earlier but wanted to do the Perfect Aim lesson and would call me. I told him if he does the lesson and pays me the $380 the lesson would be no charge.

I drove over to Farmington Billiards to give this guy a lesson and collect the $380 after he called me 4 days later.

When I got there he claimed the drunk that was with him was loaded and was going to back him so we could play some more. He said he wanted a crack at me on a table he was used to.

I told him he had to pay me the $380 first. I just drove 2 hours to get there. I was kind of pissed.

The drunk left eventually and the guy hung out telling me he would help me get some lessons. Good Luck with that.

One of the guys that worked there wanted to do a Perfect Aim lesson so the day was saved financially. He had all the tools and had been playing for a long time. It was fun because as usual it gave him the answers and showed him how to get the most from his aiming.

So especially if you really have the best of it and it looks too easy it probably is.

The good news is that if this all wouldn't have happened my friend that worked at Farmington Billiards would never have gotten a lesson.

Turned lemons into lemonade kind of.

When we hook up again I need to teach you how to teach this Perfect Aim. I know that you will be able to do this. And it would give you the boostthat you need on the road.

Once I teach you we will call you certified to teach it and players can call me personally to check it out.

With us splitting so fast because of my personal trouble the thought never passed my mind.

Until then good luck.

But remember, if your in a game and stealing it is worth it sometimes to take a chance on getting stiffed but the local players should be able to help you determine if the player is a regular goof ball in a minute. Everyone knows who these people are.

I was warned by another player about this guy I played before we played. I needed the practice and might get the cash.

Good Luck out there until our paths cross again.....

Your buddy Geno........

I heard she was over 7 feet tall and had laser beams for eyes! She always carries a gun, once had an ex's head in her suitcase and can down a bottle of Jack without blinking an eye.

You can't be mad about something that's your own fault..... Posting should be a mandate, not an option. Playing sets, pay after each set? Yeah, well lets post the last set...... Playing by the game, pay every game? Yeah, well lets post the last game.....

I broke my own code once playing a guy that I grew up with. This guy was mouthy to just about everyone but me growing up and I saved him from getting slaughtered umpteen times. He never showed me anything but respect.... We start out playing even one pocket for $20 a game (his call), hours later I'm giving him 9-7, 10-7 for $400 a game. Early on when I had him stuck around a thousand I asked him to square up and pay every game. There were a few people watching that were known to do things and he shows me the two bankrolls he was holding, that I estimated as $10-12,000 and he said was $13,000. He said I'll lose $6,000 but no chance I'm flashing any cash around these guys.... Like I said, I grew up with the guy and always got respect so it was cool with me. Well, after 32+ hours I have him stuck $6,000. Long story from there but he doesn't pay.... I had an associate of friend of mine offer to rob him and his people where I would get half of what they got, which would have been a much bigger pay day than the $6,000 and I passed saying karma will get his @ss. 5-6 years later he was in a drug house doing a deal when the cops raided the home, they found a dead body that no one would cop to so they pinned it all three that were still alive. He gets 12 years...... I'm good with that. Now, betting decent money I would make my mom post.

Sorry for the length

There are a lot of incredibly smart people on this forum, however, a lot of us are being dragged through this web of a story with one person's side.

In hundreds of other threads, after an initial post about whatever "incident" there is, the next person usually says, lets hear the other side of this.

You take everything being said as the rock solid truth.

Everyone knows there are too many incidents to list, but lets take the 2 most recent.
Getting ID and other things stolen. The consensus seemed to be call the police. That didn't get done, She said "I'll wait for her call and she can explain"

The second thing that happened was getting stiffed out of $400.

Now, I know a couple of girls who have hit the road, and I've also hit the road for a good portion of my life. This is a very easy solution. We all know the first one, you get someone from the pool hall to take you to the house and ask them to help you. In turn most people would enjoy just a good conversation, or chip in for gas. She's gotta come home sometime, and sending the other person to the door instead of Rhea gives a much better chance to have the door opened.

The second matter is so easy to fix it's comical. (I'm guessing that there will be a reply that states none of my methods were possible, but I'll still try)

If you were in a pool hall and you got stiffed for $400 then you go to any male in the place and say, this guy owes me $400, I'll give you $100 just for getting it for me. That number may have to jump to $200, but hey you got $200 more in your pocket than you did have. Raising your voice a bit that "YOU'RE GOING TO STIFF ME, REALLY?" also helps.

If it was a bar, there is always a male around to help a woman in need, or the owner/manager who will set the guy straight. If he was shooting off the wall, then no stick to take, if he was shooting with any stick, then that stick is yours.

You basically post on the internet that you are playing pool on the road alone, please take a free shot at my roll, I will do nothing to you if you stiff me.

If I would have been one of the robbers, I would have just went ahead and robbed him. I mean why not?? If that's what you do and you know that the guy is holding that heavy and has it coming. Just rob him and keep all of the money, if you didn't want any of it. That's just the way I think.. He robbed you. Right??

Johnnyt,
I'll give you an example of what happens at several of the pool halls around the country every day. Two people are playing even (why does even matter so much? Well at even you expect lots of back and fourth). Of the two people there is no favorite, instead of passing back and fourth a $5, $20, $50 over and over.

Post you say? How much, I mean we are playing by the game so we each make sure that the other guy has 5 games worth like a $100, and then it's OK. After 5 games when there is a pay off, each shows another $100 and the game continues.

This of course is all just IMHO.

Joey. I liked to play by the game, post bet before each game. If someone doesn't want to post there is a 95% chance you will get air barreled if you win. Johnnyt only stiffed once in his life, and for just $10. I told the story on here...I hit him in the head with a bar cue. Johnnyt
