Wow!! That table has got to weight over a ton.

Do you have any pictures of when the table was being installed? Or photos of the bottom side/edge of the rails?
If not snap some pics when you have the table recovered.
All the 6x12 Brunswicks I have seen have came in thru canada.
You got a great deal on the table.
I've seen a black 6x12 GC which makes me think....Ive never seen a black GC 1 or 2.... Or a GC 3 with a plastic name badge....

Room is a work in progress, planning for a TV room and bar but this is it now.

I just picked this table up for a few hundred dollars. Came with a 2"1/8 nine and snooker balls sets, a bridge, 7 cues that aren't warped and still have some tip left, long cue and bridge and a score board. I played snooker in high school and really loved those days during lunch hour and periods off.
It's a 6x12 table, 5 piece slate, which was in perfect shape and very thick. Had it moved and professional installed. Which ended up costing 4 times what I bought it for.

Not the cleanest looking table, one day I may repaint the sides and legs. The installer said the cloth could be replaced but could be ok for a few years. Though I did notice some pin holes near the head pockets where the slate shows through.
I figure next year after I get some practice that I get it recovered.

I figure its from 1960's, and probably similar to the one I played all those year back in high school. Thinking I should have gotten a 5x10 table, I didn't plan on the room being for a table this big, it does work except there is one spot if shooting out of the corner pocket that is tight.

So lighting. Wife made the choice. There are pot lights on 4 corners and the 5 light track light (60w bulbs) . Think I could raise them up a bit to be more even. I'll post some shots with pot lights on and off with just the track lights and ask what you guys think.

Nice room you have there, Jumper. If raising the lights doesn`t reduce the hot spots, try different bulbs. I would leave the pot lights on. If you are ever coming north to where you can swim with the polar bears, drop me a line. Also, if you are looking for some memorabilia for your room, let me know.

Raised the lights and the hot spots are gone, that and with the pot lights on it looks much better.

Nah sorry I never even thought of taken pics when it was being done. The sides are not black, they are brown like the top plastic with cream legs. The frame is black.

The person selling it was someone who inherited 3 of them and needed the space for his business. They would have let me take all three for the price of one just to get them out of there. The other 2 I didn't choose were similar with the only difference that they had a bronze name plate and not plastic.
I am sure the movers picked them up for them selves when they saw them.

Alright folks here it is, my new to me oversized 8' Brunswick Medalist. Here's what I did, I emptied out my living room, turned my big master bedroom into my new living room and it looks great, my second bedroom is now my new master bedroom and my old living room is now my new living room.

I really wanted a 9' Gold Crown like I had before in my old house but this space would not accommodate it. So then I was looking for an oversized or regular size 8' gold crown or diamond pro but the search was proving to be difficult. I found this oversized 8 foot Brunswick medalist on craigslist only a few hours away at a very good price so I rented a trailer and went and picked it up.

You will see that the cloth on the bed is a different color than what is on the rails. Here's what I did, I ordered brand new simonis 860 for the table but it won't be here for another week. A few days ago I talked to the mechanic who just got done putting it all together and said he would basically give me a piece of Championship tour edition cloth for the bed. So for now, the cloth and rubber on the rails is unknown and brand new championship tour edition cloth on the bed.

My thought process was this, I have brand new simonis 860 coming, if I'm going to be putting the best cloth on the table, I want the best rubber on the rails too. I can't afford to buy brand new rubber right now so the simonis will be sitting in the closet until I can afford the new rubber. So for now there is the rubber and cloth on the rails that cae with the table but brand new championship tour edition cloth on the bed which is completely doable for now. In a month or two I will have the guy come back and put brand new simonis and rubber on the table and it will play great. It plays good now but not as good as it would be with the new simonis and rubber.

The table was just finished being installed like a half hour ago. I still have to give the entire table a good cleaning from top to bottom. I have enough room around the table for a full 58" cue and some tables and chairs in the corners.

I have lights in the room which will be "ok" for now but they were obviously set up for an actual living room. I'll be switching those out soon with one of those LED flat panel lights. Slowly but surely it will all come together nicely. I'm just excited to have a table at home again. Sorry for the novel, just excited. Time to practice!

Thank you for fixing it!

To the Xmas tree comment.....Yes it is a man's room, and that my friend is an XMas Flamingo!

Oops, I just noticed there IS an Xmas tree in the first pic, I guess I got rid of that and she replaced with the flamingo in between pics.

Utilitech 5000K 23watt. I tried several different bulbs and these give off the best light of any that I used. Lowes or Home Depot has them.

Nice table and room you have there, Mtneerz.

Gotta love the Anniversary. :thumbup2:
