Prior to my recent travels to Durham, North Carolina, I was wise enough to contact Koolkat9lives and Pink Lady to see if we could spend some time together in their hometown of Greensboro, about an hour away from Durham by car.

To say that my foresight paid dividends would be an understatement. Twice, I was lucky enough to get together with them and shot pool extensively with KK9, a fine player and a true gentleman. Pink Lady sweated the matches, led the cheers, and was the social dynamo that kept everything loose. We played pool at Gate City Billiards and Breakers Billiards, two excellent rooms, and I was introduced to numerous members of the Greensboro pool scene and they were just wonderful and treated me like visiting royalty. On each occasion, we went out for dinner after the pool shooting was done and had a grand old time. The food was good, but the company was even better.

One of the greatest joys of being a member here on AZB is getting to spend time with fellow posters, and I have met dozens of people over the years just because they post here.

Thanks to Koolkat9lives and Pink Lady for showing me such a good time in Greensboro. Next time, guys, please let me pick up a tab at some point!
 
This area is for sure on my list of places to visit. KK9 and PL know how to have fun and I will at least give them a shout when I swing through.

Stu, TY. You are an amazingly charismatic, kind and interesting person. Especially for another aspiring pro player ;).

In addition, you are like a walking pool encyclopedia and we can talk for hours @ the current state of affairs (oh heck, that's right, we did!)

I'm glad you had a great time. We truly did as well.

We'd LOVE to come up to NY and have you show us the ropes there.

Can't wait for the next time brother!

KK9 and PL are ok for sure. sorry I couldn't join up with you for some good times. By the time I arrived at Breakers Y'all were already gone. Maybe the next time Stu.
 
I too had the pleasure of meeting KK9 and playing a few games with him. I think it was Breakers in Greensboro. My visit was a bit short so I didn't have the pleasure of going out to dinner with him Maybe on my next visit. Of course if he and Pinklady visit my area, pool and dinner it will be. Don't remember hearing anything about Pinklady on that visit.. BPL?

You know Harley front ends. Narrow vs Wide Glide. If I ever called my wiff a Wide Glide, I wouldn't be walking all that straight for a couple of days.
