OK, I am tired of all this tearing down of case makers. If you want to praise a case maker on here, go right ahead. Talk about your own product? Go ahead. But no more negative crap about the competitors.

Anyone who feels the need to criticize a case maker's methods on here will find their thread removed and their ban in place. Keep it positive or shut up.

No, I am not going to go back in history and remove all of the old threads. The new day begins now.

No more "comparisons". Talk about your own product and leave others to talk about theirs. If anyone wishes to know how your work compares to another then they can PM you and you can answer them with a PM.

Don't test me. I am sick of this crap. This forum has become a schoolyard and needs to grow up.

What about in the Case Review section when a person (not a maker) wants to post a review of a case they just bought? Should they only post positive comments and leave out the criticisms? I what to know the pros AND cons of any product reviewed.

As yes, I get this mostly about makers and their squabbles... but I would like for everyone to know the ground rules.

True, for some reason I have bought a lot of cases lately and from time to time you come across things both positive and negative that im sure others would like to know. For the most part its to the good but the downside to some cases would be beneficial to both the pool community and to the case maker alike. Its no secret that JB for instance may get a little extreme but some of the aspects he brings to the table are justifiable, when it comes to construction and durability. I am no professional but as of late I have fixed several cases for people locally and all of them have been basically one or two problems. Nothing major and I had thought about posting them in the case review but didnt just because of the negative aspect.

Civility goes a long way
 
Shame, seems like you are removing a good source of information if people can't give an honest review of their products. I learn from that kind of thing.

The problem has never been, "an honest review of ones own products," but certain members starting flame wars tearing down other people's products.

I've been wanting to post a full review of my case for a while now. Part of my review was going to showcase the poor construction/ideas that are part of the competition. Now , with this new 'rule' I won't bother as I'd be banned. I can praise the features of my case all day, but without being able to knock another product to show its weaknesses, I can't show how good my review actually is.

I contacted Jerry already about that same thing, he responded and it looks as if they're going to do nothing about it... Why should anyone follow the rules when they don't enforce them... Well, i guess they enforce some on a select basis it seems...

You could not be more correct!! The way the rules are enforced is ludicrous... Like many other members I am on other forums and AZ forums rules are abused more than any other I visit..
