I am in the process of booking dates for these two greats for early next year, during the months of March through May. They can appear as a team and play a challenge match or separately for personal appearances, exhibitions or any other special event. Please contact me if you would like Shane or Dennis, or both of them to make an appearance at your location. Thank you, jayhelfert@yahoo.com or (310)370-3994.

Lincoln City, Oregon in early March, I believe the 9th and 10th, for $10,000 first place bar box 8 ball open at Chinook Winds Casino.

wow! two of the BEST in the world.
jay, any idea if Shane will be participating in All-Japan Open this month?

I think he will be going to the World Pool Masters in England on nearly the same dates. He will stay for the Mosconi Cup and then head to Manila and Gensan for Manny Pacquio's new tournament. He is partnering with Dennis in the Doubles!

fast.

I'm sure if another doubles team started barking for a few dimes Jay could set it up real fast, but who would challenge those two? Good luck promoting them and good luck with your new book. Johnnyt

I heard buddy hall and efren wanted to play them back in the late 80s but SVB didn't have any money and Dennis couldn't get a visa or something like that.

Hell I would play them both with games we have in columbus
Only thing they can't quit winner
Both of these 2 like to do that

Jay this may be off topic, a question about you. Did you ever live in Phoenix and if so did you know a regular there named Rudy? If you did how good did he play?

So when can they quit? Only when you tell them it's okay? Come on Chris, life doesn't work that way. There are no long term contracts in pool. You make an agreement to play a set for a certain amount of money and when it's over, it's over! At that time the negotiations must begin again as to whether to continue, and if so for how much. After the set is over, a player has every right to quit for the night, the week or life for that matter.

That's the way it's been since I've been around pool, and I doubt you will change that. Sure, there may be hard feelings by the player who lost the set, but hey, that's life! Get over it and go on.

I never lived in Phoenix and have never been there for longer than one week at a time. The only Rudy I remember was a good bar table player. It must have been in the 80's when I last saw him. He would be pretty old by now, maybe in his 70's. I think he was Hispanic.
