Day 2 Mosconi Matches in Progress Coverage

Breath of fresh air to see good cueists who know the game well and have some interesting strategies, make a great European team look second rate. Though I traditionally support Europe, this bodes well for a US revival!

I'm just waiting...

Looks like Mark's "joke" team has already eclipsed last year's "dream team".

I'm glad to be wrong about the Justins...They are playing phenomenally..

waiting for the USA haters to come out with the, but team Europe is he weakest they've fielded in years.

Really like this pairing. Justin says to the other Justin... "Let's just have fun... We're playing good!!"

This is exactly why we can't have certain players playing together. They want things their way and how they like it. America looks like a team more then ever. Im so glad they took the steps to prepare for this year. Im a believer in our boys

That's about as good as you can play scotch doubles 9 ball. In that first match the USA team looked noticeably more comfortable than yesterday. Pretty big.

Boyes looks real nervous coming into the arena. He still probably won't miss a ball.

Corey looked good. He has one match to play and focus on today.

Boyes wins the lag. USA 0-7

Worth noting that these two players, who have almost identical playing philosophies, mesh so well.

Justin Hall is playing the same kind of pool that got him a 7th place finsih in the toughest ever US Open a couple of months ago.

Gotta feel great for Hall and Bergman and for Team USA. As we say in baseball, they've set the table, giving Deuel a chance to give Team USA its first lead in this Mosconi Cup.

Is this fun or what?

Corey's lag attempt came out to almost the side pocket. It was a lag that wasn't hard to beat...
