Any Word On How Danny Harriman Is Doing?

This is great news.

Thank you, Dom, for this welcome update.

May his uptrend continue.

best,
brian kc

OK Guys, I have some good news. Danny is doing better. I don't want to say much
better, or great, but he's better. The fluid in his lungs is pretty much gone. He is
awake and talking, but not alert and strong. Yesterday was a whisper, and today at
least his voice was there a bit. His throat is sore from the tubes that were in there
for the past week. His heart and lungs are good. Since he was on dialysis, his kidneys
stopped working. The main thing is to get them to start going again. Tomorrow they
will be taking him off of dialysis to see if the kidneys will start up again. If they do,
Danny will be on his way to recovery. I will be heading down hopefully tomorrow to
actually have a little chat with our friend. Very good news guys. I hope to have more
good news soon.

Good stuff. (The tubes down your nose and throat are brutal.) Thanks.

Thanks, Dom, for the update. I let some people over on Facebook now. I told Pat Fleming about it today, Bobby Hunter, last night. Lots of people are wondering.

If it becomes appropriate for people to send cards or flowers please let everyone know. As Danny gets stronger, it may help him to know how many people are pulling for him.

That's improving news. Thank you for keeping us in the loop Dom. Tell Danny that we are all pulling for him.

Tell Danny I will play him some even one pocket for cheap money but only on the first day he is out of the hospital.

just checking in for further updates?
he might could use this for recovery/therapy, and CueBuddy's got some custom cues!

Any more good news, Dom?

And I have not forgot that you and KK9 need one. Next year at the Mosconi cup it could be hand delivered:)

Sorry guys. I've been under the weather myself, and I dropped the ball a bit. I will give
them a call this afternoon, and post an update. I have not been feeling well, and haven't
had a chance to get down there. Sorry again.

I'm telling you those tubes can be damned unpleasant.
Several years ago I was at the pool hall and had downed several adult beverages. At closing time I went out to my car to go home. I didn't feel too well so I sat down near the rear wheel to catch my breath and the next thing I new it was morning and I had a garden hose stuck down my throat. Someone must have thought I was a gas tank.

I'm glad Danny is feeling better. Thanks for the update.

Y'know Tramp, sometimes I don't entirely believe your stories.

We'll know he's getting better when he starts complaining about the size of the bed...
...."I want a 9foot bed!"

Get better, Danny, Willie's 526 has stood long enough.

Update time. Well, I just got off the phone with Danny's Mom a few minutes ago, and
I have great news. Danny is doing much much better. He's been transferred out of the
ICU, and is now in a regular room. He is up and about, and walking with the aid of a
walker. His Kidneys have started working on their own, and they should take him
totally off of dialysis today. His voice is still hoarse from the tubes, and it kind of comes
and goes. He will need some acute physical therapy for a few weeks, and then some
out patient physical therapy. The doctors say that he should make a full recovery by
April! This is the best news we cold have hoped for. Again, thank you all for your
thoughts and prayers. Hopefully we can hear from Danny soon. Thanks all, Dom.

Wow. What an ordeal, here's to a quick recovery! Good news for the kid and his family.

Thanks Dom.

Hurry up and get well Danny. That offer to play you even up one pocket is disappearing fast.

damn - April? that's sick! (pun intended)
so what was the final diagnosis? was it one of those new strains of flu? was it complicated by a preexisting condition? i ask, so that we can all be extra cautious this flu season.

glad to hear he's pulling through, and hopefully sooner than speculated!

(you, get well soon too, Dom!)

To the best of my knowledge, yes, the flu. I would have never believed it a few weeks
ago, but there are more and more cases just like Danny's out there. Very Scary. I was
never one for the flu shot, but at least you know what strain you're getting. Right?

happy for good news

glad to hear the good news; I got my flu shot last Sept. but they said the one going around like wildfire across the country isn't the strain I got my shot for;
gee willikers...
