Chohan vs smith updates

I certainly wouldn't shoot it in competition, but for a high run it might come in handy. Thanks

the ball on the break was just an odd occurrence,i suspect if he tried for another 100 times that he would not break it in over 5 times

are tony and danny playing again tonight

1st set Tony won
2nd set stopped with Danny up 4 games in a 7 ahead set play starts back 5 pm eastern today

They have played a total of 36 or 37 games so far in the 2 sets thats 18 breaks for Tony
he has made a ball on the break 9 times i think out of 18 breaks lol might be more than odd occurrence lol

Tony has always had one of the best 1P breaks in the biz.... I don't Danny will ever take that for granted again. I'm surprised he agreed to it in the 1st set.

They both break good, making the ball on the break has everything to do with how they're racked and very little with how they're hit.

Two things that really effected that match and got Danny the 5 game lead was:

1. Tony making the ball 3-4 times in a row and having to re-break. Which is pretty dumb to me.... I agree with this rule if playing rack your own but playing rack for each other it's pretty stupid. If Danny racked it to go that's on him, Tony has zero to do with it.

2. The one long game where they both needed one and Danny made a good shot to win. After that he got loose.

No, the cloth looked like it was old and worn in.

For those who are good friends with Tony, where is he compared to before he went to school?

Is he 90%? That, to me, would be nearly impossible.

Thanks for your input Saw, (whoever you are), I enjoy reading your comments.

This has been quite a treat to watch the last two days. Win, lose, or draw Tony can hold his head high when this is over. His knack for finding dead balls, akward combos, and caroms in the stack make him a threat from anywhere on the table. Not to mention long cross corners are complete hangers for him. One of the more memorable shots was a long tough cross corner bank on the six ball. He rifled it in while bending it around a ball in the path of the pocket. He made a ball on the break 40% of the time in the first set, and would run two or three more. Danny was repeatedly coming to the table for his first shot in a dead trap needing ten while Tony only needed five or six. Danny could never get any momentum going and for the first time in quite awhile looked like a child lost out in the Bering Sea clinging for life. The second set has been a complete turnaround. The ball on the break seems to have made all the difference. The first few games went back in forth and Tony is now having trouble getting the momentum going, Danny keeps choppin him down at the knees with power shots. Danny is ahead in game count and is shooting loose.

They're re racking a dropped break ball? On rack for your opponent? That's pretty silly.
