This has been quite a treat to watch the last two days. Win, lose, or draw Tony can hold his head high when this is over. His knack for finding dead balls, akward combos, and caroms in the stack make him a threat from anywhere on the table. Not to mention long cross corners are complete hangers for him. One of the more memorable shots was a long tough cross corner bank on the six ball. He rifled it in while bending it around a ball in the path of the pocket. He made a ball on the break 40% of the time in the first set, and would run two or three more. Danny was repeatedly coming to the table for his first shot in a dead trap needing ten while Tony only needed five or six. Danny could never get any momentum going and for the first time in quite awhile looked like a child lost out in the Bering Sea clinging for life. The second set has been a complete turnaround. The ball on the break seems to have made all the difference. The first few games went back in forth and Tony is now having trouble getting the momentum going, Danny keeps choppin him down at the knees with power shots. Danny is ahead in game count and is shooting loose.
