It doesn't create Havoc for any Mod. We have 2 people banned in I can't remember how long. Ya obviously didn't read what Mike said about it. It was created for members to blow off steam. It did turn out better than that because it is actually much more than members doing a daily rant.
Go over right now and ask for a good bar b cue marinade or a dry rub for ribs. I bet you will get quite a few replies.
And then do it in the Main. Disguise it as, I am having a few friends over to play pool and I would like to bar b cue some ribs later. So it won't get moved.
I bet it won't take but 3 posts before someone tells you it isn't pool related, you're Gay for asking for a recipe and start a fight.
The threads are only what the Flavor of the Day is. You wouldn't know because you don't hang out, other than to do a hit and run on occasion.
Of course certain threads don't last long, that is why you might not see them. A person asks, they get what they asked for. The Thread dies.
The Mods don't bother for the most part because we have thicker skin and don't get our Boxer Briefs in a twist because someone disagreed with us.
A Pool Message Board is a perfect example, specially AZB. You won't make everyone happy no matter what you try.
People complained about the Sales Forum. They changed it based on what the majority wanted. People are still whining about it.

Why is it when a thread gets moved from the main to NPR for what ever reason, many times because people are fighting, and if the Mods just delete it, that gives cause for more whining, so they move it to NPR.
The only people that continue fighting are people that post in the main. We may have a look to see what the cat dragged in, but we seldom join in on the fighting.

The Main can also be somewhat of a joke. You get guys like CJ and now Chris, just using it as a platform for their Sales.
Chris was one that was doing some whining not long ago. I bet if the Mods regulated him as it actually should be, he would be gone in a day.

Guess what, no one is fighting, or even arguing. You could get into the Thread about Believing in a Supreme Being. That went into some pretty weird stuff that I don't understand, but no one is killing each other.
