The Hustlers Week 3: Episode 5 Thread

Let's talk real here. Mikey has a reputation for lying. And who wants to say that they lost to a girl, anyway? During Mikey and I's match he was so nervous he could barely run 2 balls. I can tell you guys that the editing of the show isn't all in order. This was Mikey's first match. And he thought I was easy money. Producers were only filming 2 matches at a time. Mikey had not played pool on cam as of yet and our match was his first one. The guy could not run two balls in a row and I, already warmed up, playing Mike Dechaine and Emily Duddy, took advantage of that. He only won 1 game. When it was 2-1 he missed an important shot that they kept in the show, and I ran up to the carom and won the set. He told me also that he was so nervous because it was his first time that he needed to get used to it. And I quote another friend in this that he messaged after the match and said, "I'm not shooting good today."

During Emily's match. I was there too. Watching. Emily gave this guy opportunities and he decided for the "I'm gonna be last place so I can climb up" charade. This is where the whole #teamfreemoney began. We all saw he gave that up because he just didn't care anymore. He wasn't playing his best. He hadn't won against anyone in the round robin. What did he have to lose?

It is very difficult to shoot infront of these cameras just a couple of feet away from you. And I see how one can get nervous and get distracted by everything around them. This could be also a reason to not shoot your best.
But Mikey...Every story has three sides. Yours, mine, and the facts.
And Mikey and Smiley got a match coming up. We will see how much "giving up the match" happens in that episode. Stay tuned!

Atta boy, girl! You have a nice competitive spirit, but Mikey know the angles. Whatever happens do your best at the table and everything will take care of itself. To be genuine is a skill unto itself. gl

so did the ratings get the GREEN LIGHT tonight?

The ratings went up yes. We are currently doing better than Barmageddon. Which is one of TruTv's shows. Check out the friday ratings here > http://www.tv-recaps-reviews.com/2015/06/cable-rankings-may-31-june-6.html?m=1 <

I'm just young, you know. He may know the angles because he has been in it, hustling people for a while. But I don't want to hustle. I want to take your money with my real skill. No charades, no ****ing around. I'm more of a serious player. I play tournaments and cash and place top in tournaments, with my skill. You don't see me here calling myself a pro. Because when I become a pro, I want it to be because I am hard to beat. Because my game is strong and not because of a show, popularity votes, or how pretty I am. I'm not the fake it till you make it type. I'm the earn it, get some wisdom, and show your skills type. I am definitely still learning, that there are so many crooked sides in this sport, that I gotta watch my back. But in the meantime, I'll just be me. Keep on trying, and keep on smiling while at it... just not at the pool table. :P

Thank you for the props!

I wasn't even gonna respond but I'll just address one small part....I had already beat you in a previous tourney on camera before this....and beat Emily too....continue to talk though. You're the weak link in the crew cause you're emotional and lack control. I was setting you up to be the hero but you're a walking spoiler alert* Real G's don't deal in feelings and emotions. Get it together, who comes and disses the only friend they have on the cast. You look bad out here.

Personaly I think it needs some dirt it's far to clean
I thought the fox appearance was a good opertunity to talk about how you hustle a bet
But Jen explained how they are not hustling but maching up is what it is
WTF , hey news flash blondie the name of the show is the hustlers
Total missed opportunity reminds me of these lyrics

We got the bubble headed
Bleached blonde
Comes on at five
She can tell you 'bout the plane crash
With a gleam in her eye
It's interesting when people die
Give us dirty laundry

Can we film the operation
Is the head dead yet
You know the boys in the newsroom
Got a running bet
Get the widow on the set
We need dirty laundry

Like it or not Dirt sells ,, if they would have stuck a camera crew at the SBX you could have a show a week for the yr

The posts with Mike and others chiming in is actually making me like the show a lot better than I would be just by watching the show.

BTW people talk about Borana, but in my book Smiley is the cutest girl on the show.

Now that's not nice. I was watching that interview though waiting for a solid punchline too. Jenn and Mike have the ultimate hustle going though. I can't tell you the number of people that "think" they can beat Jenn and just have no shot at all. Mike D. on the other hand finds ways to outrun or what seems like he is outrunning some super tough games.

It would have been funny as hell if Jenn would have just made a pivot and looked directly into a camera and said "Don't knock the hustle"

Well, maybe not on AZB, but what about on Twatter?

Best way to beat Mike D is to take all the breaks, if you can do a decent job with running out yourself. Even alternate breaks is tough. He lost 2 sets to a B+ player that got the 6 and all the breaks, but he may also have had ball in hand after the break also.

The ball in hand part is pretty critical in that equation. Top rule of pool though, ask for something you can win with!

@Eric.. I didn't create my twitter account. I just took over it. I never even used twitter until the show. Took me a lil while to understand it. Because I never liked twitter. Just letting you know thats a fact. But you are a "Mikey" groupie so it doesn't matter what I say to you, you'll believe anything else.

I have been one of the only females in NYC who has won the Predator Tour First place besides Jenn, and Annie Flores. Also, have won several Tristates and Championships. The pool player community is filled with people like you and Mikey. Inflicting venom to feel alive. Just sit and watch. I'm going to let facts rule this thread and turn his lies into truth.

I didn't create my twitter account. I just took over it.

It is your twitter account right? Don't you have the ability to change it? And when you took it over didn't you have the ability to tell the people who set it up you're not a professional and to not put that in there?

I love it when people get caught on shit and it's suddenly "I suck at technology".
