The Hustlers Week 3: Episode 5 Thread

does AMY annoy you? (PERFECT!)

Does her voice annoy you?
(perfect)
Does her in-your-face New York attitude bother you?
(perfect)
Does her talking smack while the other player is shooting offend you?
(perfect)
Do their lovey-dovey pubilc displays of affection make you uncomfortable?
(perfect)

It might not be as effective at Steinway, where everybody knows them, but on the road? Combine Ross's babyface with her personality, and soon every mother's son would be fallin all over themselves to play him and 'take his money'.
She's the PERFECT roadpartner/shill. Let her set the matches- nobody'd take her seriously, so you'd get the favorable spot!

Aye, you can't fake the flake -you gotta be born with it- and she's got it in spades!

the only BETTER hustle?

Would be if Amy and Jennifer went on the road together- then every mother's son AND HIS BROTHER would be fallin all over himself to play!

Is it legal to give people money to gamble with? I'm not lawyer but it sounds fishy. Most people don't have this problem. Mikey I wanna see your real game, how do you shoot?[/QUOTE

really? if youre a player you dont need to ask..if youre a fish you make posts like this

Oh really?
Who are you again? A legend in your own mind.
I've never seen him at any big events. Heard him here and was impressed how good he can hit a ball into a rail....on purpose.

Bingo, I did the same thing for the Smiley match as well and the producers were listening on the mics and then they realized I was doing it on purpose. By the time the Emily match came around, Amy was on tilt already, and Emily was pretty mad cause of the way the numbers were coming down. They didn't do a good job explaining it on the show and the matches were shown so far out of order it didn't make much sense. It made for a better story the way it was edited though so I'm not mad at that, no one seemed to wonder why Emily was so bothered and why Amy was so fired up?

So I'll spare all the details but I pretty much played the last 2 matches of the entire round robin. They were against Smiley and Emily. So losing both guaranteed me 10th and winning both would have stuck me at 8 and put Jarrod into 7th. Keep in mind for the list 10 was challenging 9 and 8 was gonna be challenging 7. My thought was why challenge Jarrod for a spot that I care nothing about, I only am trying to win money. Conversely this automatically puts Emily into the 7 slot if I lose both matches and shifts Jarrod to the 8th spot, followed by Smiley and Me.

Ross was in 5th and already knowing Dechaine was gonna be stealing his spot we talked about getting Emily up there to play him next after he plays Dechaine to make some more money. It looks complex just typing it to be honest. Moral of the story is it was well calculated and Emily knew we were putting her in a tougher spot and there was nothing she could do about it. Hence Amy screaming at her like we will be taking your money soon, see how it makes sense now. So yes it was obvious at the end on purpose very much.

That's pretty cool.

I don't know why you would think that. What's funny is do you consider Hatch and Earl to be gamblers? You're so dead set against it, you wouldn't be able to believe the answer if I told you. So for purposes of this forum, let's say you are right and move on. You are right about all your future posts as well. Just do me a favor and don't ever try to shake my hand or come talk to me in real life cause I'm just not having it.

Are they giving us money to gamble with or are we playing for a prize? I'm glad you know that you aren't a lawyer and admit your ignorance so freely, it's exhausting proving it over and over, way to man up. I honestly don't care what you want to see or what you don't want to see, I kind of hope you stop watching so I can stop reading your hateful posts. I hope someone just bans you honestly.

What's your real name though, so I can find out about you since you know so much about us. I have friends everywhere, let me find out you're some disgruntled league player who's wife left him for the post man.

I'm ignorant and you are the token....we all got our place in life. I'm not gonna be in the autograph line.

REALLY???

"token"?

You know, if you'd been on this site for more than a few minutes, the one thing you'd know is that Mikey Frost is a GAMBLER.
Hellfireshit, he's probably a better gambler than he is a poolplayer, and he's a strong player.
"The Hustlers " is as much about gambling as it is poolplaying, and Mikey Frost ain't a "token" gambler!

Now, if you meant "token" in a racist manner, then you just revealed yourself as AzB's "token" POS. . . . . . .

I'll help you narrow that down, Mikey! He's in Syracuse, just up the road a ways from the Cardigan Kid. . . . . .

I won't put his name on blast, only because I live eternally under the threat of Wilson's ban hammer. . . . . .

nope my name is scotty bee or scott bannon i dont hide behind a screen name when i talk
i speak with respect until someone loses it or never earns it.you seem like a keyboard warrior come down someone will play you
and yes you are ignorant

The thing that bothers me isn't her loud mouth, her voice, getting in peoples face, etc. it's how she treats others, especially her boyfriend. I don't think she's said one complimentary thing to anyone including Ross. It's likely all an act, and that's fine, but with that personality no thanks, i tend to ff when she's on. Don't need the negative. I haven't seen any lovey-dovey from her at all, just *****ing.

I don't mind being called the token black guy it's actually a compliment cause if that's the worst you can say on me then I'm living pretty well. The fact of the matter is I can get him busted and he'd never even know it

Dream on Mike. I've been in plenty of deep water in all facets of life. You called me ignorant...league banger...nah. I'm pure pool. No league. No buddy pool. No BS list. Just flip it.

Maybe I am not fully understanding cause the show does get a little sideways at times and I am trying to understand here.......why couldn't Emily simply miss the ball back to you? The only answer I can think of, and I'll be blunt, is that she was finally going to win something in pool and couldn't get herself to not accept the win.

Watched all of them. What more do you want. Shows pool with a plan show setting a game up with BOTH side thinking they have the edge. Plus it gets outside people thinking there is something exciting even if you aren't playing. Mikey play your game and collect all the cash you can. Thanks for using the tread to give an inside look

Well damn Watchez maybe a little too blunt. I was toast already by getting pimp smacked by Dechaine and Jarrod. I had no shot to get to the money at all from there. They only showed the number of games but in reality the number of games was the tie breaker after overall record and head to head.

Don't worry it will all make sense by episode 7 the results of that match. Emily really does shoot straight and she earned it that day. Ross and Amy just agitated her to death and she fired back, mostly at me and I never really said too much.

Lets talk real here

Bingo, I did the same thing for the Smiley match as well and the producers were listening on the mics and then they realized I was doing it on purpose. By the time the Emily match came around, Amy was on tilt already, and Emily was pretty mad cause of the way the numbers were coming down. Conversely this automatically puts Emily into the 7 slot if I lose both matches and shifts Jarrod to the 8th spot, followed by Smiley and Me.

Let's talk real here. Mikey has a reputation for lying. And who wants to say that they lost to a girl, anyway? During Mikey and I's match he was so nervous he could barely run 2 balls. I can tell you guys that the editing of the show isn't all in order. This was Mikey's first match. And he thought I was easy money. Producers were only filming 2 matches at a time. Mikey had not played pool on cam as of yet and our match was his first one. The guy could not run two balls in a row and I, already warmed up, playing Mike Dechaine and Emily Duddy, took advantage of that. He only won 1 game. When it was 2-1 he missed an important shot that they kept in the show, and I ran up to the carom and won the set. He told me also that he was so nervous because it was his first time that he needed to get used to it. And I quote another friend in this that he messaged after the match and said, "I'm not shooting good today."

During Emily's match. I was there too. Watching. Emily gave this guy opportunities and he decided for the "I'm gonna be last place so I can climb up" charade. This is where the whole #teamfreemoney began. We all saw he gave that up because he just didn't care anymore. He wasn't playing his best. He hadn't won against anyone in the round robin. What did he have to lose?

It is very difficult to shoot infront of these cameras just a couple of feet away from you. And I see how one can get nervous and get distracted by everything around them. This could be also a reason to not shoot your best.
But Mikey...Every story has three sides. Yours, mine, and the facts.
And Mikey and Smiley got a match coming up. We will see how much "giving up the match" happens in that episode. Stay tuned!
