Mike D withdraws from World 14.1

Let me explain comical. To me comical is (or at least one thing that is) when people talk a certain way about someone and try to keep everything about the person the same. If you like someone, then that person is a good person maybe a small problem here and there but 99.9% the person is good!
The flip side to that, when a person is not liked, no matter how much good that person does, he will never be liked! That is comical!
Whatever happened to say what you mean and mean what you say? I'm so tired of how life is ever changing,,,, and changing for the worst I might add! Everybody has to be so apologetic today! Don't say anything bad about someone who is like by a few people( and disliked by so many)!
You know what I miss(and I'm not even old, I got carded today by the way) I miss being part of a nation that had balls! I miss when a handshake meant something! I miss when it was ok to have a disagreement about something and all is well afterwards!
Today, America is pussified country and that's sad because our leaders have turned us into this! What does this have to do with this post,,,????? EASY,
MD, you should of played, you should of played your heart out and I know you could of done well of you were "ready"! BUT, that is the question! Are you, were you, will you be ready???

So we are agreed, Charlie sucks and Mike is cool, yes?
No. Actually, it was another pool players package.
But the point is, some people speculate because they don't know someone that knows the details. Others don't because they have access to the real info.
Just like the list I posted. It's all happened before. There is no question about it. But to those who haven't seen the pictures or screenshots or the actual saved text messages, they would wonder if it was true or not.
We all know CW is shady. He has such a bad track record with being sneaky, that the majority of people in the know don't even bother listening to his side of the story because it always contains a ton of garbage.
Mike and I have our own personal issues! I don't know Charlie!
Big to-do about nothing! Bottom line - Mike could have played and had just as much chance as anyone else. He stood on "principle" and chose not to play. The event went on without him and it was barely noticed he wasn't there. End of story.
P.S. High seed or low seed, Mike would not be one of the favorites in this event. I do like him on The Hustlers though. His personality works well on "reality" TV.

I appreciate that Actionplayer actually picked up the phone and called me (at my invitation). This is because he was not aware of all the facts that his post alluded to. We had a discussion and I think he would no longer agree with the post he put up.
My beef with the original post was that it erroneously put out the impression that we did something wrong. When all the facts are known - we acted properly in a very avoidable situation. We didn't cause the problem - Ralf caused the problem.
I just wanted to acknowledge Actionplayer for pursuing the truth. I wish more would do that than to just repeat worthless rumors!

What I don't understand is Mike was already getting free entry. Why was he worried about the hustlers cast being offered free entry when he already had free entry? There had to be more going on than he is admitting to publicly. I have a feeling he pissed off Charlie at some point.
I'm not excusing how Charlie does business but it sounds to me like Mike was being a pain in the ass.
As far as Mike and Mika, in 14.1 I know who my money would be on. Mika has a high gear.
That's all well and good but what if he doesn't win? He's clearly able, got 5th last year… but you can only prove that point if you win and it's just not that simple.
The real way to take a stand is to just boycott the event. Vote with you wallet.
Did you read that at all? He clearly stated that he was not going to get free entry. But that Carlie would go 50/50. Mike then decided to go all in for himself and was bumped to # 9-16 because Charlie no longer had a piece of him and could not benefit from him playing in the # 3 spot.
No. Charlie was "putting him in" for 50/50. That means Charlie backs him with the full entry fee, and in return, they split any of Mike's winnings 50/50.
I like Mike so I may be a little biased. That being said take Mike completely out of the picture and think about it. No matter the player once someone is told what seed they are can you think of any reason that should change? It didn't look like Charlie disputed the seeding had changed.
I wanna boycott it but I also want to go to see some of my favorite players and maybe get some signatures. Do you know if there's a cover charge at the door every day?
I did read it. Charlie was putting him in, Charlie got 50/50 on whatever Mike won.
That's why I'm unclear about Mike's story. He already had free entry but made an issue out of the hustlers cast getting free entry.
My guess Mike's temper got the better of him, he told Charlie forget it, Charlie dropped him from the seedings and then when Mike decided to put himself in the tournament Charlie re-entered him at a lower seed. When Mike found out about that his temper flared again and he threw another fit. Now he is being a drama queen and complaining about how it all went down.
I don't think either of them come out looking good in this. Charlie seeding people based on whether he is getting a cut of their winnings makes him look bad as well.
In the end, this is the format where seedings have the least impact of any. It is round robin and it is 14.1 where you can keep you opponent in the chair as long as you are running balls.
There is. I'm not sure how much. I was at Steinway on Tuesday but didn't watch.
And I wasn't saying the fans should boycott (unless you feel you should), I was saying if Mike felt he was scammed, he shouldn't support that event.
