WPA Rules For Transgenders

My money is on any of these 5 girls vs Hunter Lombardo playing even:

Siming Chen, Chezka Centeno, Han Yu, Chieh Yu Chou, Ga Young Kim

Take your pick.

Ok my money is on Oscar Dominguez playing any of them. He is a 766. Oscar will recover two tables first that day to make it fair since only Siming has a slightly higher rating.

When you lost your van playing pool, did you have a real passion for pool then or was that just recreational play?

I lost my van getting 4 games on the wire going to 5. And yes at that time in my life I had never even entered a tournament. I didn't know the first thing about real pool. I was just a gambling addict at everything I could gamble at not anything in specific.

Too, too funny. Funny POTY!

REALLY?! THE POST OF THE YEAR?! THAT AMOUNTS TO A HATE CRIME!

You really think that the implication that Rhea had only made the decisions she had made in order to play professional pool is too, too funny! It's an absolute slap in the face to any person who is faced with the difficulty she is faced with. I know people who have agonized for years just to come to grips with who they really are. Then they agonize some more to find the courage to take the actions they need to take in order to be happy. To accuse someone of this without any cause and so nonchalantly is absolutely sick. I'm out of this one.

I'd like to see Oscar vs Siming, that would most likely be a very intense close matchup, possibly even hill hill regardless of the length of the match.

How is it a hate crime when I simply COPIED AND PASTED Rhea's own signature line?
It was to show that Rhea has a STRONG desire to be great at pool and considers herself a billiard phenom. It's a good thing to have a strong desire to be great at something. Far from hate.

But nice try.

Get her over here. We can make it worth her while.

And this will probably offend some, but they have to play on a table with men's pockets.

You win for the most misogynistic comment I have ever heard, and I've heard plenty.

Transgender rules.....hmm.

I suppose if you are of the camp that believes men are physically superior to women when it comes to pool, then it would be the physical body of a man that you fear in competition, as opposed to the physical body of a woman.

In that case, people with a natural born body of a male, no matter their sexual identity, should only play in men's events.

Likewise, a female body, in theory, should only compete in women's events...etc

Or - we could not worry about silly shit and just hold events open to anyone.

I like this idea!

Mr. Bond,
Yeah let's just eliminate all women's sports. That sounds like a great idea. Or we as a society can address this issue civilly and come to a proper conclusion. Unfortunately, I think this has become a subject where the squeaky wheel has gotten the grease.

Transgendered females can now play in the LPGA.

Rhea, your handicapping skills are about on a par with the rest of your game..(low B you said)..The chances of Siming winning 1 or 2 sets out of 50, races to 7 or more against Oscar, are very dismal indeed!..When you have elevated your game, to the level you want it to be, you will be able to see that much more clearly!.. I don't think anyone would even bother streaming that "intense" match for free! :sorry:

PS..Whats that old adage?.."It is better to be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"! ;)

I'd assume for something to be a hate crime there WOULD ACTUALLY have to been a crime committed??? Next it was just copied directly from what Rhea typed self and on the bottom of every post. Most importantly, I don't think you and I read the same thing into that post. I read the bold red statement as a play on words - which is the part I found extremely funny.

Men vs women has nothing to do with ability or strength, it's simply numbers. If there are 1,000,000 pool players, 900,000 are male. Of those million, 200 are worth a damn and 10 are elite. The odds of being elite are nearly impossible... but the odds of those elite being male is extremely likely.

This is what I believe.

To answer your question in theory no, the changes in only 9 days are way to miniature to quantatively notice any real difference.

Also menopause is due to the natural aging and dying cellular division of your ovaries ability to produce the same amount of estrogen as it once did. With lower estrogen you will not become a stronger player, lack of hormones actually decrease your abilities over time, however you still have the experience you gained through knowledge. You're testosterone levels will not raise just because you go into menopause. Both estrogen and testosterone have different positive effects on your memory, learning, and spatial abilities. And both men and women have both just different levels of each under normal circumstances.

You could keep a youthful advantage by undergoing HRT once menopause begins to alleviate the symptoms as well as keep a youthful appearance and prolonged health. This has always been an option for women who are in menopause due to surgical or natural reasons.

Thank you for answering. Often I find your participation on this forum brave. This conversation included.

For what it's worth I have no horse in this race, I couldn't care less who enters what tournaments, much less, choices much more personal.

I guess more than anything I was surprised and a little fascinated that hormones are the WPA underlying factor, having so recently had my own monitored so closely and experiencing broad ranges both natural and manipulated.

I can see that my experience is a micro instance, but at my highest estrogen level, when folks asked me how I was feeling all I could say was "mush brained". I couldn't remember what day it was most days.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if micro fluctuations in my hormones produced micro fluctuations in my game. I wish I played enough now to keep track.... like pool didn't have enough variables ;)

If your argument is that the FargoRate is completely off for the comparison of mens ratings to womens ratings I have a question for you.

So, my current rating is 549. I got that exclusively from the u.s. bar table championships competing among women only. So here is my question. Are you saying that an established man with the exact same fargorate as I have will always be a better player? I am very curious because I trust FargoRate to be accurate enough that I would be willing to play any established 549 male or female for even money without fear.

Rhea --- I honestly don't know how your brain works. You are good with big words. You are terrible with logic and posing any type of valid argument. You want to play an established player but you are not established yourself. You are a 550 but only have 199 games in your rating.

First - you need to learn to compare apples vs apples. You aren't established but in your post want to play an established person. What you need to do is play someone that isn't established, as you are classified. You want to play someone that doesn't have a complete games played for their Fargo rating. How about you play Andy Quinn -- his rating is a 40. See how dumb that sounds.

Second - this fargorate, it may or may not be terrific. No one knows cause it hasn't been around long enough and hasn't been tested in live situations as of yet. Let's see after the BCAPL how it holds up. Let's see til the end of the year how it holds up. And then the next 5 years, before we deem it all knowing. No offense to Mike Page who has put the time in.

Third - I am saying that Oscar will play all 5 women on your list. 10 ahead sets on a real table. $10,000 a set minimum. He will play each one until someone wins. Oscar does no drugs. He will play the next woman after he has 12 hours of rest. Back to back to back to back to back. You can have the streaming rights. There is no women's pro tour anymore. They can all come and play Oscar to keep their interest up.
