You know what? I hereby rescind my call for a more measured approach. OP got his cue back, so f*ck this guy and his overall f*ckery. Now he's trying to commit mail fraud by "insuring" an empty box so he can stiff the mail service for a few hundred bucks.

I suggest you follow up immediately with my first suggestion, and go to a Navy recruiter and track this guy down and let NCIS deal with this jack@ss. Give them a statement as to the shenanigans he pulled with the original deal, and then make sure they know that he's trying to commit mail fraud now. If he's trying this with you, he probably has screwed other people, and they'll be able to find evidence of it.

Wow! Really?! Who's been playing games? Do you actually have insurance on the broken cue you sent? Isn't it Fraud to say that it wasn't damaged prior to shipping it? I wonder if they can use all the information in this thread to prove that you committed fraud.

How's this sound?

You have a broken cue. Some guy on AZB will trade it for a nice cue he has. You stall on sending the broken cue until after you receive the nice cue. You then send a bogus package that supposedly had the broken cue in it. You file a claim with the postal service for your "excellent condition" broken cue. Now you got a "free cue" and a few hundred dollars to boot. Wow! I guess that's how it's done. I've been doing it wrong.

The tracking for the $500 insured cue was delivered and accepted.

The tracking for the cue with the folded receipt (insured value over $50 unknown) was the open box refused and returned.

Other than the shipping/insurance the OP spent, he has been made whole.

As far as the other guy, WGAF?

IGAF. This piece of crap is in the Navy, running a scam to make a few hundred bucks, and possibly get a free cue, and doesn't cares if he f*cks over one of our members here.

If allowed, he'll probably do it to someone else. I'd rather see him get what's coming to him. If it were me, I'd move mountains to make sure his commander found out what his Chief Petty Officer does in his spare time.

As I stated before Mr Crosby is calling and texting me and I am not going to reply to anything unless is is a pm here.

Now he is sending me threats these just came it today at 3:16 pm......

If he went back and looked he would see that I addressed him by name when I asked to see pictures of the Jacoby cue. Of course I remembered him and that deal.

I'm tellin' yah, man.. You should get the post office involved to investigate possible mail insurance fraud. You did not accept the empty box, so you have no liability here whatsoever, regardless of his threats...

He's literally too dumb to be in the Navy. He was politely warned about his shady behavior and the possible ramifications, and although he returned the cue to OP, he followed up his shadiness with a nice healthy dollop of mail insurance fraud.

I certainly would not let this go. I am an extremely high strung and competitive guy, and if a dude tried to screw me, and compounded it by sending me the type of messages he is sending OP, I'd try to make sure he ended up in jail, or at the least with a letter of misconduct or something from his commander.

He is in the military, and therefore easy to find, and commanders in all services generally don't tolerate this kinda boolshite, so he is a bit of a moron for continuing on with his shenanigans to try to finagle a couple hundred bucks out of the situation..

Having followed this thread from when you first posted asking for suggestions up until now, I've managed to form a couple opinions. :wink:

That a guy can be such a bad actor there really should be the possibility to issue him a negative iTrader so there's a warning beyond this thread, and in such a blatant example of dirty dealing by one side that there can be some assurance that by doing so you wouldn't be exposed to a retaliatory negative on your iTrader. You really should ask the mods about this to hopefully warn a next unsuspecting member.

Having been in the military myself, I know what Russ said has a lot of merit. William Crosby's command should be given a heads-up which would very likely slow his roll.

Jim, as you know, I've done several deals with you and all were a real pleasure. You're one of AZB's very best and, unfortunately, the law of averages says you have to run into one of these characters every so often. :angry:

I'm glad that you got your cue back and I think it was in no small part due to some pressure felt from posts in this thread.
