Mosconi Cup roll call

Me and my lady arrive late Sunday night. Never been to one before and my GF hasnt left the Country before (from canada), so we are super hyped.

I HAVE AN EXTRA 4 DAY PASS TICKET IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED! Row N seat 12 on Europe's side! $120!!!
Bought an extra ticket in hopes to finding a friend to go but couldnt get anyone...

Our "tentative" plans are to hit Freemont St on Sunday evening...MC Monday morning followed by Griff's that evening...From there, open to ideas and suggestions...we visit Vegas frequently, but always looking for new places to eat, drink, play and socialize. Would love to hit some balls with the wonderful people from this forum...

It's gonna be cold! So bring your winter clothes. So many good low cost shows to see all over town. You can grab the local free papers that list everything, at most liquor stores and 7/11's. Lots of good music in the lounge shows. Usually all you need to do is buy a drink and enjoy. Many good comedy clubs as well. None are expensive. The big "name act" showroom shows are all high priced.

Visiting the Stratosphere is a trip. The tallest building in the western U.S. Amazing views from the top floor. Made my legs weak to get out on the deck, even with the double railing between me and oblivion. You can walk right up and watch people riding the roller coaster that hangs over the side and the other crazy "ride" they have up there. Or you can bungee jump 800 feet if you prefer. :rolleyes:

Great food in abundance as well. I tend to stay out of the casinos for food, except maybe in their food courts. The buffets on the strip are all over priced. Downtown is better. Lots of very good restaurants all over town for any kind of food you like, at good prices too.

Some good sports venues as well. I've gone to minor league baseball games (AAA), UNLV basketball and now they have NHL hockey there.

Like I said get one of those local papers (they put them in the hotel rooms too) and you will find something to your liking. One other good poolroom is Good Times on Charleston, west of downtown.

I'll be there in spirit only. More than any other day of the year, Thanksgiving is when my family and my relatives all get together, coming from many different cities to catch up, dine, and watch NFL football together Missing that is not something I would ever consider, so this year wasn't an option for me.

That said, I wish everyone who is going a wonderful time. The Mosconi Cup features great pool, great fans and the kind of supercharged energetic atmosphere that only Matchroom seems to be able to produce. I look forward to reading about your experiences. The ones I envy the most are those who are about to attend their first Mosconi Cup --- buckle up and get ready for a wild ride.

Yep - I’m flying home Thursday AM and will miss the last day. Hopefully Matchroom has better scheduling in the future.

Hopefully, but being as they are (I think) based in England, I have to wonder if they even consider holidays that are only observed in the U.S.

Or perhaps they scheduled it this way on purpose (conspiracy theory time).

Or maybe they got a real good deal from Mandalay Bay.

But if you are at home and get DAZN you can watch something other than NFL on Thursday. (Unless Team USA sweeps it in three sessions, of course.)

A USA sweep in three days would be nice, but on the other hand......my only ticket is for Thanksgiving day, so that would not work out so great for me. :D

I was not crazy about the dates either.
Waited a little late to book. Not the best seats but still pumped and ready to heckle those Euros if they ask for it!!! USA!!!

I'll be looking for you in the audience, Rich. I'm going to get the DAZN this year. I am going to use Keith's credit card, not mine. :)

If one buys the DAZN live stream, can it be watched on more than one computer in the same household? I am hoping they will just go by IP address and let it happen. That way, Keith can watch it at his desk and I can watch it at my desk. I might be able to watch it on my TV, but I've never done that before. I'll have to experiment with it. :cool:

not sure about multiple screens but DAZN is great. We are able to stream DAZN to our TV because it has Roku built in. I am sitting on USA side about 3 rows from the back...maybe i will make a sign that says HEY JAM
