I go down there every 2-3 months to remind myself why I dont go down there. Might be time to recover them again, 9' I was on had blood dried into the felt.

As long as there aren't snags or teeth still stuck in the slate!

I was playing on one of the little seven footers I often whacked a few balls on and noticed that some jerk had bled on the table! A kinda crescent looking mark almost an inch long, definitely fresh blood. I had a couple three challengers and I got to watching them since the blood spots seemed to be multiplying!

I had to make a quick pitstop and being that kind of guy washed my hands afterwards. I felt a little burning from my bridge hand when the liquid soap hit a spot. Had to twist my hand way around to be able to see that spot, then I knew who the jerk was! Couldn't play without that spot touching the cloth so I slunk out and went to find some bandaids. Fortunately my home and a Katz and Besthoff were both nearby. Shutting the barn door after the cow was out I left bandaids in my truck after that. Even used them a few times. No more bleeding on pool tables!

No rooms is right. Here in Missoula we have a place call 3 In The Side. All black inside, floor, ceiling an walls. Ball sets are arent full set. Meaning they replace the missing cyclop balls with aramith crowns. House cues all have slip on tips. But they do have 4 9' diamnds an 4 7' diamonds , great tables.
There are some of us here(a few haha) that are 9' players, just not enough. Pool usually kinda shuts down in the summer time
A room owner that brings in Glen to recover the tables, but doesn't know/care enough to have complete matching sets of balls? 🤯

How about the college pool room in Bozeman? I've swung by twice, closed both times. I could see proper tables, at least.

Define proper tables, are those the ones with the slate seams separated?

Thank you for the information, politely offered. I apologize for not being awesome enough to see flaws in a GC while looking at it through a window from twenty feet away.

I been operating days for members 24/7 the same as this over the past 7 months. $9 play all day. All part of the continual adjustment to the Covid hysteria that is devastating small businesses all over this country. It works well overall but you have to trust people, yet have cameras everywhere....and make examples of a few people to keep the masses in line.

I am open to the public weekends after 5pm. Come fall may extend the public hours, but in summer there is no point.

Received over 130k in Biden bailout money grants and landlord rent reductions...overall owning the room has never been so profitable. More money coming too...socialism really isn't that bad, just it may take a wheelbarrow of cash to buy a warm meal.

Palace Billiards, in the basement of The Ritz, closed permanently several years ago. The pool room on campus is alive and well. Oh, and that 'big college' is called the University of Montana.

You probably stopped in on the weekend both times. During the summer they have very limited hours and are not open on weekends at all (??? makes no sense). They close for about 3 weeks in August to get ready for the incoming students. The tables play okay, but are not kept up at all...nobody cares!

In western MT we take fishing an pool very very seriously.
My custom 4 point Pechauer cue/fly rod
I’m north of the border in Alberta.

Just walked back from fishing on the Bow River. Mostly Browns and Rainbows. Water fast and high so spinning reel instead of usual fly casting. At the 18 minute of the video is 3 minutes out my back door.

Pool tomorrow evening but all 8 ball on 9 foot tables. Snooker on Wednesdays.

used to float the bow 30 years ago often. from town down to the weir. camp and make it a slow 3 day float.

big browns, as then they let the towns sewer water into the river and the nutrients made plenty of 20 to24 inch
fish all day long.
