Chip/SVB score

So how do you think Chip and SVB would play 9 Ball? So maybe chip thought that his 9 Ball game was only the 7 below SVB so he could out move him and only be slightly out shoot by him?
Don't get me wrong i respect chips one hole game. I even commentated on his match several years ago against Larry nevel, but he was just out shot by gorst and Shane shoots as well as gorst AND has the one hole experience.

That would be like someone losing 15 rounds of golf to Phil Mickelson and saying hmm I know I'll play tiger now 15 rounds of golf.

These matchups remind me of the older players in pool halls who lose to you at rotation or refuse to play you at rotation but then say I'll play you one pocket.

What on God's green earth makes you think you'll be better than me at one hole when I stomp you at rotation?

Now there is an element of knowing the game and being able to move that comes into the game.

When I had hardly ever played one hole and DID NOT know the game at all really and went to fatboy's house I played Bobby cotton and he'd only play me one hole and he did edge me out, but we're talking about someone here who has won back to back dcc one hole titles, one of only 3 people to have ever done so. Why would chip think his moving ability would give him enough of an edge to make a difference here?

So I fall into this camp, not because I'm old but because my shotmaking+position play is rewarded in One Pocket, and the death of me at rotation.

Hanging a ball safe in One Pocket is critical, doing the same at 9-ball is a critical error

Hmmmmm. I wonder if Chip's people are betting against him based on a certain spread?
Wouldn't be the first time someone has bet against themselves...

MJB may have told you this before but I have Weims since 1981 and I had the shirt your avatar dog is wearing in 1982.

May Chip is laying down the lemon for a future big score. [Just joking.] :giggle:

I think it's great to see these challenges matches, but matching up evenly seems to be a talent that some may not understand or possess.

I haven't watched the match, but for those that have, has Chip done anything right on the games he has won?

In example, a lot of the games he won against Fedor, he pushed the balls up table and went into grind mode.

Just curious.

Shane said he doesn’t like to play one pocket so if he is playing a money match that tells you that he knows he has the best of it

Guess I should have taken the Shane by 7 from today.
Apparently so, I guess by having any faith at all I had a little too much faith. My buddy ended up taking the bet and my money.
