I've read the social media posts for many months, in some cases, in the form of cyberbullying of Johnny Archer because of him "stiffing Oscar" for a very large sum. First and foremost. it is flat-out wrong that Johnny did this to Oscar. No question about it.
I have remained mum about my opinion on what Johnny did for several reasons. Some people who were involved in business dealings with Johnny in the past have spoken to my other half about what actually happened between them and Johnny, and none of it is good, and most of it has remained private between the parties involved. Johnny should be ashamed, but he did not act alone in letting the businesses fail and absorbing profits that did not belong to him, profits that should have been split evenly with partners.
Oscar was gracious and showered Johnny with grace online a few days ago, expressing his sorrow for Johnny's new pool room to go belly up. In fact, the new pool room was foreclosed. I am so impressed with Oscar's maturity and ability to do so in public on social media. He must have had a good upbringing with a father like Ernesto.
Oh, and one more thing. One time at Turning Stone, Keith and Johnny were in a match and began to argue about the rack. What else is new?! Johnny refused to accept Keith's rack and vice versa, and then the verbal assaults started flying for everyone to hear. And then it escalated. I was so very embarrassed at Keith's behavior. Johnny beat Keith that match, and when it was over, I just wanted to get the hell out of the joint and go back to our room. I could not hold back my tears and began crying. What can I say? I'm a girl. Johnny looked over my way and saw how emotional I was, and he immediately came over to me and grabbed my hands and shared some words with me, letting me know it's just pool and I should not be so upset, that he and Keith are still good friends. He even gave me a hug. I will never forget that kindness Johnny showed me. He does have some good in him.
I refuse to jump on the Cyberbullying Train to rag on Johnny Archer. I do not condone what he did, but I feel if Oscar can show him grace, so can I.
