Just got this announcement. It is at the same time as the Hanoi Open.

Solid pool in that part of the world in October, starting with the Peri Open and ending with the Philippines Open.

This event was actually announced in June. I speculated on AZ about whether Filler and Biado would miss Hanoi.

If the photo accurately tells us that Filler and Biado will play in the event, it's raises some questions.

Filler has yet to play in the Hanoi Open.

In 2023, he chose to play in the WPA World 8-Ball tournament held around the same time. He still was able to play in the Mosconi, however.

In 2024, he skipped Hanoi due to the WPA ban. He was removed from the Mosconi team by MR, as we all know.

This year, he is likely to earn enough points to get a Mosconi auto bid. But MR bylaws seem to...

It's great for pro player that so many pro-caliber events are available, but the clashing of dates seems like the wall still exists between certain entities.

maybe. dates will continue to clash though, there are simply so many events now and MR are dependent on sky sports scheduling slots. there's a chinese event going on right now, not JOY heyball but some other promoter doing 9-ball on similar tables. alex is playing in it
