107 Breaks & 6 Chances

This is not a slight to you at all. Sorry if it reads that way.

I love how have years of this ridiculous shit we are still giving him advice. Some of which he takes to no avail, other advice he just rights off as "it wont work".

The only way to actually get to the bottom of it is to either:
a. Shoot with him in person and see exactly what is happening.
b. Him make a video and show us what is happening.

We are not experts. We are simply players too, but we all have different levels of skill and experience.

The other thing... he never leaves his basement. He does not play competitively... at all. He has no knowledge at all of what play at his level should actually look like and is instead comparing himself to pros. His one foray into league play resulted in him thinking the other players were beneath him if I remember correctly.
Don't forget the name dropping and using $ thinking that gets him better.

Played in a few tournaments he played in. In case your "phone" has not blocked me, remember O'Briens. I drove 4 hours for those tournaments.

He just likes to complain and crap on anyone who has tough love for him and tries to steer him in the right direction.

"107 breaks and only 6 chances..."
6/107 is about the ratio a competent player will luck in the 1b for a runout.

Need pics, dcp.

I've posted this before. These pics are so typical. As you can see balls went in and the balls spread out. But there is no chance to run out here. This is what happens 95% of the time - or more.

This blows my mind. Rather then working with someone or posting a video online of him breaking/shooting a few times, he woudl rather drop 5-figures on a table thinking that is going to fix it.

You going to DCC?

Not quite right. You need to quit listening to that idiot u12armresl. He puts out a lot of wrong stuff regarding me.

And I tried to get one or two good players from Evansville to come up to my house. And for two reasons. First, to let them play on the table and break and see how they do, and what they think. Second, to help me with the break and stroke. But that fell on deaf ears.

And I don't believe the new Diamond Professional is going to solve all of my problems. I do, however, hope it does solve some of the problems I've had with this GCIV for 20+ years.

Remember that running out is not as important as winning the game. You just spent $12K on a new table, I have a feeling you will be disappointed. Play the ghost and give yourself ball in hand after the break.

You get so much crap because you come in here and complain without taking any advice. You have the most concentrated place of pool players on the planet right here at your fingertips and refuse to upload a 2 minute video where people could actually help you. You seem like you really don't want the help, just to have something to complain about.

Who said I don't take any advice?????

I have no capability to post a video. I have an IPhone but for some reason I have never been able to download and post a video.

As some may realize I had new Apple Green Simonis 860 put on the Gold Crown IV a couple of weeks ago. The last two days I have been doing nothing but racking and breaking racks of 9-Ball. After the first ten or so breaks with either nothing down, no shot, or both I decided to keep track.

The final numbers the last two days are 107 breaks and only 6 chances to run out. And yes, I realize Efren might have had maybe ten chances to run out. But that was it.

And to answer any questions:
1) Yes, I've had the dehumidifier running.
2) Yes, I've changed CB positions.
3) Yes, I've changed speeds.
4) Yes, I've changed CBs.
5) Yes, I am using a template.

This type of futility just ruins my enthusiasm for the game.

Because this chosen exercise is NOT match play, just stats.... one's attitude and attention are never the same when there's NO co$t.
These type of stats feel like washboard work to see what happens, when your constantly writing down your ????? issues without tissues.
Because there's no SKIN is THIS game of yours, your real stats are not even comparable to the ''real moment''.
Like Lee Trevino said, there's a lot more pressure playing for $10 when you don't have a dime in your pocket.

Sorry, but I haven't called you any names nor put out anything false about you. The best you got is that you repeat a mod called me an a$$hole. I've actually tried to help you, but as with others on here, there is a time to just give up as you don't listen.

Why do you think people don't want to come and help you or play with you. I posted about playing in Eville and got more responses than I knew what to do with.

Neither of those things he is willing to do.

I'm learning more as the situation evolves. Hopefully he will decide to go play with others and compete. That is the whole purpose of this endeavor. If he is just going to play by himself then he should be playing straight pool. That doesn't require a break and run.

It is a real possibility, perhaps he is not a rotation player and 14.1 is his calling.

Well...half a chance of the above is likely.

I'm hopeful the renovation going on at the Billiards & Bowling Pavillion at the resort in French Lick will have some leagues, local tournaments, etc, etc. I am planning on going down there in the near future and stop at their Public Affairs office and see if they can tell me anything.

It's not hard to record a video and put it on youtube and set it to private so it can only be viewed by people who have the direct link, all from an iphone.
