I think it adds another element to the game, do I try and cheat the pocket or play safe? With the 4" pockets there is no option you will be playing safe, I'd like to see the players have to make a choice and I think we would see more "Z shot" type of shots taken, more exciting for the spectators and the TV cameras too.

Plenty of precision now, along with a lot of safety play, I understand it but to people who are not knowledgeable about pool it's boring to watch, pool was bigger when players had a chance to take and make amazing shots, I don't blame the players for not taking chances when the odds are stacked against them due to the table conditions.

Still dogging it = a clear shortage of precision. Seriously, what's all the game sense for when they can't remember how the game shot works? National representation on world stage is way short on competence...

Opinions vary......no coverage of the Mosconi cup, US open on ESPN but there is coverage of Pickleball and Cornhole, but you're right.......

Better coaching had a lot to do with it! Johann knew how to get the best out of his players.

I doubt so. Few of top UK 8 ball players did quite well playing in UP USA. If prizemoney were few times more like WNT or Predator or Heyball, planeloads of top UK 8 ballers (who are paid peanuts playing UK 8 ball) will swarm UP USA. Oh and the 800+ WNT/Predator WPA Euros will also do very well

I aware that the UK has great British Black/8 ball players, but SVB is a great bar table 8 ball player, as are Sky, Bergman, and Corey Deuel. It is a moot point anyway as I highly doubt they would ever switch the MC to bar table 8 ball

Alex Lely coaches pool. There are several snooker coaches including some who mostly work on the mental side. I think they would fit. An example:

I like your idea of studying the years they won.

Bet they won the lag more often, made fewer mistakes and played better on day one.
