I don't think he will consider it squandered. He was left with no shot twice. The fact that he shot at it both times instead of a safe told me he is playing to win. It wasn't his rack to begin with, and went for the steal.

I liked his play.

His shot in the 2 in rack 8 was amazing

Sorry but with ball in hand on bank the seven, Shane is a heavy favorite to make it. Yes, he was unlucky that it was all he had, but Shane is one of the best bankers in the world and surely expected to make it.
