★ world 9 ball championship ★ qatar★

12-12

Shane Breaks and his cue ball lands on the adjacent table. The ref tells him to "play on" so Shane proceeds to jump the cue back onto the game table only to crash into the wired 2-9. The 9 flys at warp speed into the corner pocket for the victory.

Shane wins it in dramatic fashion.

All 12 people clap, sort of.

9 ball needs to make rule, must call shot if not obvious, (combo, banks, caroms etc.)

Yes, and

a) in golf, there should be a rule that if your ball lands in the rough but finishes in the fairway, it gets put back in the rough. In fact, just yesterday, Jordan Spieth made a hole in one on a shot that landed in the rough around the green. Maybe it shouldn't count.

b) in basketball, if you throw a pass and it caroms off a defender and goes to your teammate who is standing by trhe baset, his shot doesn't count.

What sport doesn't have luck? There are unintended and unexpected consequences in every sport.

This event gave us a final four of Ko, Ko, Wu and SVB. They didn't get there by luck and few, if any, tournaments in the history of pool have done a better job of weeding out the truly elite than th eWPA World 9-ball Championships.

Leave this great event alone, please.
