$12,500 JossWest?!?!

I emailed the seller suggesting that he had one too many zeroes in the price. :D

His response was that the "consignor set the selling price".

Nice cue. Wish he were reasonable about it.......

is he the same guy who was selling the Balabushka from 1918 or whatever?! consignor..lol.. has to be the same guy...

What I really think is funny is the company name is "Consider it Sold".

Textbook example of a misnomer.

Being as how the "sideways" JW never commanded the price that his later ones did, I highly doubt any offers will exceed $2500 regardless of "never been played" not to mention another $10K on top of that.....

I'd take a few Szamboti's over it any day....

oh, to live in a fantasy world...

btw - if anyone is interested, I'll be posting my Jensen 4pt hoppe for sale shortly at the bargain price of $17,588.02 - hell of a deal!!!!!!

Someone should forward the seller this link.....

if you look close at the picture of the two tips and ferrules you can see CHALK on his 'never been played' pool cue.... lol

I noticed the chalk too. Also, that ferrule is pretty scuffed up for never being used.

I noticed the same thing.

Cue was never screwed together. That adds $ 10,800 to the price?

It looks like a nice cue but way too much. Some people think that old makes stuff worth more.

this is a pretty common design from Bill at that time. i sold one 3 years for USD1450, when all my cues were either joss or joss west cues... Probably its 1600USD to be fair.

Maybe the person is related to the lady that was selling the $50,000.00 cue ! which is now $15,000.00

I would take the cue at that price and everyone would be happy. :D

here is what makes it worth $12,500

Q: What makes this cue worth $12,500???????????

A: This cue was made by Bill Stroud in 1974 and is a 2 shaft stick. It is a Virgin Cue - has never been used or even screwed together. It is in superb condition, with PRE-BAN old elephant ivory at the butt, hand wrap, and inlaid mother of pearl. The PRE- BAN Ivory, maker,Custom made, NEVER put together factor and Mother of Pearl was how the price was determined .

Dont ever forget the NEVER put together factor and of course mother of pearl factor!!! lol. If ya never had a virgin you just wouldn't understand (cue that is).
