160K Stakehorse Challenge!

I am surprised you are in agreement.

The player ONLY gets 25%, you know that dancing monkey thing?

Love ya like a sis,

Ken

Hey, at least it ain't my player dancing like the monkey.

That said, 25 percent of 160K is more attractive than 25 percent of 2 or 3 dimes. ;)

Not exactly.

$20K is $20K, $20K is not $19K

If the same better gets #1 and #2, and the other better has #2 and #1 only 2 betters win.

(3 betters can win as well)

It isnt at least 4 win, it is up to 4 betters can win.

Ken

Everyone pointing out that it could be 1-4 people collecting are correct.

I still hold to the $19,000 as a room for 10 days has value.

I think they would get eight entries, two or three at least from the Philippines alone, same with the US, then Darren and his buddies, also the money might even draw from China and other places, I think they could get at least eight.

I'd like to see a group of top players incorporate themselves to put a horse in the race -- think that would happen?

Yeah, well nevermind.

Rodney probably wouldnt be busy.

Would you like to contribute to get him in?

This sounds great, and just maybe the shot in the arm that, Pro Pool needs. The worlds's top guns, from all over the planet, playing for gold and glory. A good theme song would be
" The Boys Are Back In Town".

Grab all the affluent pool enthusiasts (aka Stakehorses) and make this a re-occuring event would be amazing to see.

Movie quote: "...theme music. Every hero has got to have some."

How about you get 8 backers to commit then 8 top players and draw an order for the backers to pick and make it a draft. Then random draw for the other 40 percent.

All the gamblers i know spend their time at the casino or bet football. To them they get a much bigger thrill in that and it is far more convenient. Either that or the stock market.

Gambling in pool is fading.

I do not understand the purpose of the 40% of a random player and only 60% of your player. Of course everyone who doesn't stake SVB would love a chance at 40% of him but why anyone else?

It is $20,000 to enter - although $1,000 worth of rooms come free. So each place will pay 60% of 75% to the stakehorse.

1st Place
Player $25,000
Actual stakehorse $45,000
Random stakehorse $30,000

2nd Place
Player $15,000
Actual stakehorse $27,000
Random stakehorse $18,000

So the stake horse, if his horse came in first and his random horse came in second could win 63,000.

And if by chance the by chance the second place finishers state horse, also had his random player happen to be the winning player he would win 57,000.

Single elimination best 2 out of 3 sets race to 7....

That's enough games to feel like your horse had a chance if they go down... I'd do the 40% based off the random draw so the backer who's horse loses first round now has 40% of the horse who took him out......

Since its derby why not make it single eliminination a race to 4 banks, race to 3 one pocket, race to 7 in 9 ball and whoever wins 2 out of 3 sets moves on?

I doubt that Sarbanes-Oxley or Wall Street would approve of corporate funds being used for gambling purposes.
Just have the CEO scratch out a personal check.

As a network engineer that has had to do SOX compliance, I can assure you that it's not compliant.
