.

good story... believe me it is definately the best tournament u will ever play in... u will have memories that will last a life time.... its nothing like playing in front of a bleacher full of people at the us open... believe me i know... im 17 and have played in 2 us opens... lucky me.. im blessed if i do say so myself for being given the opprotunity (sp?) to be able to do it.. i have played these past 2 years and have watched history happen right before my eyes... mika doing the unthinkable by repeating as us open champion.. definately proud to be able to say that i have played in the worlds best tournament not only 1 time at my young age but twice... words cant express the feelings from playing in front of alot of people but also just watching the worlds best....

Today i have woke up and im 40, and i feel like it. I never knew that i used so many freggin muscles to play pool! The back of my legs hurt, my knees, my neck and upper shoulders are sore too. If i didnt know what happened i would have thought my wife beat me in her sleep...lol
Im not regretting it im savoring the moment, living the memory of why im having the pain:D
Tonight i have about 2 hours. I will practice repetitive drills until my arm falls off :D

LMAO I know the feeling.. I went and shot last night for about 5 and a half hours. Dang if I was not sore when I got up today.

How are you coming along? I liked keeping up with your progress. It was actually a bit of motivation for me. If you stopped posting and don't want to I understand. Shoot me a PM from time to time and keep hitting them. Good luck!

I totally forgot about this thread until it was bumped up. I also am curious as to how you are making out with your goal. I enjoyed reading your progress. If you have a blog, let us know. Good luck!

I tried a game guage that i seen on here by allen hopkins where you use all 15 balls shoot any in order till you get to the last 5 then shoot them in rotation....50 games of this i didnt realize how long this would take.....

I think Allen specified you're supposed to do 10 racks per day for 5 days to aaverage out your consistency and also you need worldclass speed to concentrate for 50 racks. to pull in 600+ on a tight diamond is very descent if you played all 50 in a row.

I am supposed to be off work tomorrow:) but NO i have to be in at 8 again:( have to meet with some clients on a freegin I.T. compatibility prob. I was gonna practice all day and do some video if i can get my camera mounted, but now it might be another week  now not practicing is making me ill...this is a evil drug this game is! "The Devil is a Liar"

Be happy that you work 60 hours a week during the day. I work 60 hours a week 630pm-630am, or in other words I play on Sunday if I am lucky. I worked during the day I could play every other Saturday then every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Good luck and keep grindin

Have you paid you Open entry? (sorry if I missed if you've stated this, I was a bit short of time and skimmed). Also, some here would surely like to follow your performance at the Open, will you give us your name here? Or, will you pm in confidence? I'll be spectating Thurs thru finals.

Best of luck,

Matt

Never saw this post before, pretty damn cool.....make sure to post up results......best of luck...

What's your expectations or goal for finish position Carlos? FYI, last year they paid $700 for T65-96. 97th gets you an all expense paid ticket to the restroom.

If you don't at least cash, I'm going to start a thread about you and call you stupid names. ;)

lol. I'll make sure to track you down and shake your paw.

Best of rolls,

Matt

Would love to see a dark horse like you get in some good play, Carlos.

Working 60 plus hours a week and being a family man makes me want to pull for you in any match.

Good shooting and Good luck!

So Shaw is a UK player from London regularley plays money matches with Imran Majid and Tony Drago. Big money player here in the U.K. Don't be suprised if he wants to have a little bet on your game he's been known to gamble in a tournament match aswell. Very good player made last 32/16(can't remember) of last world champs. Good Luck

Good luck, to you. Great to see you living your dream. Hope to meet you at the Open. I will be there Tuesday afternoon.

Tony M.
