A trusted friend of mine would like to sell his pristine 1962 Gold Crown 1 that has been sitting in storage for over a year with no home for it. This table is in very good condition and even has the Ashtray corners which is a very rare find. Currently he has Simonis 300 on it which is incredibly fast. I know my friend would like to keep this cloth for his next table purchase but if the price is right he might be willing to include it in the deal.

He is entertaining serious inquiries only. Please, no trades or discount offers. The table is located in South Orange County, CA near Aliso Viejo.

Prices:
$2,800 for the table only with no cloth and pickup required.
$3,300 for the table with simonis 860 + accessories (accessories will need to be negotiated) and can be delivered and installed if within 100 miles of Aliso Viejo, CA.

Accessories available:

Table light, house cues, plastic rack, aramith balls, etc.

Amazing looking table...

(you might want to brace him though, in this economy these tables are getting only a small percent of the value from 5-8 years ago)
 
If I were to buy that, the very first thing I would do is get the ashtray pockets replaced!

What on earth made Brunswick think that was ever a good idea?

Great Table, I have one the ash trays myself, but the table is not from the 1950's, it is from the 1960's. During the 1950's they were making the Brunswick Anniversary tables, the Gold Crown models did not come out until the Early 1960's. The reason the table has ash trays on the corners was because the Gold Crown tables was originally designed as a Commercial table for Brunswick's Boweling Alleys.

Thank you for this info Manwon, he wasn't 100% sure on the correct year but I'm glad it wasn't too far off. It's nice to know some history behind the ash trays over the corner pockets, I was a bit curious myself. Thanks ! Bump for a killer table

It was a good idea in 1952.Everyone smoked and you didn't burn the wood frames like other models.
