1990s 9-ball McCready vs. Paez

Interesting how different the game has changed in 30+ years.
Talcom on the cloth, animated players, lots of missed shape and shots.
Commentators so sure of themselves then back pedaling.
Tons of body movement at the point of contact and just after.
Lots of fun watching these older matches. I love the different octaves Buddy's voice achieves when he talks and laughs at the same time.

Thanks for the link Bob!

Sure there's higher quality pool to be found but the entertainment factor is off-the-charts. I'll take this over the milk-drinkin robo pros we have today. This era had REAL characters out there dueling for not much $$. Good shit.

that's why pool lasted so long as it was fun to watch and participate. long gone are those days. as its being replaced by robot players with no personality but solely playing ability.

viewing of pool has basically died off to only the dedicated players and very little general public.
solely the fault or inability of the promoters.

This is much more entertaining to watch than today's pool.

Today's pool is too sterile.

The players have no "personality" at the table.
