2 Girls, a Mustang, and the Road

For those who were following my previous thread about the adventures I have had after leaving Wisconsin and parting with Gene, here is a whole new chapter in my travels.

I have now teamed up with a talented player named Kim. I have known Kim now for 1 year. I remember the first time I met her we played in the OB Cues Tour at Rusty's in Arlington, TX in January of 2013 where she put me out of the main event.

I played Kim again 8 days ago in Houston, TX where she defeated me hill-hill and took 3rd place.

Kim and I have a lot in common, we both play pool just about every single day, and we both love to compete in a lot of the same exact tournaments. We both love action, she usually watches matches, she hasn't played any large sets before and does not gamble as often as I do, but she is plenty good enough to do so.

Splitting expenses on travel and motels is going to be a great benefit for both of us while our games progress. She has the same goals as I do.

We will be at Skinny Bob's for the next couple weeks preparing for the U.S. Bar Table Championships in Reno, NV on the 24th of February at the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino.

We will be practicing on Gold Crown III 9 footers with Simonis. There doesn't seem to be any diamond bar tables around this area to play on.

It ends fine. They drive off together into the sunset. Just like the ending of Coming Home were the vet guy goes swimming in the ocean.

Sure sounds WAY BETTER than being on the road in a bus, besides OMGWTF perfected that move.

2 girls and a Mustang sounds like a plan. Good luck to both of you and stay safe. Johnnyt

PS: What year Mustang and is it in good shape?

Skinny bob's in round rock, TX? I work across I35 from there. Would love to play a set with y'all.

I believe the Bar table matches are played on 3 1/2 x 7 tables . Lots of clusters to work your way threw . Jim

When I seen "2 girls and a mustang" I was expecting to open the thread and see some interesting pictures of a horse!

Today I filed my income taxes, I am getting a pretty large refund.

We may be flying to Reno for the U.S. Bar Table Championships.

Today we practiced at Rack Daddy's. I got some action before midnight, I played a guy 3 sets race to 5 9 ball $20 a set and spotted him the first break of each set. I won all 3 sets and told him if we play again in the future I will spot him 1 on the wire to 5.
