Lou, next month I will have $20,000 to play you. So let's do a two-man tournament with $20,000 entry fee and $40,000 to the winner.

My non-negotiable conditions are as follows.

1. The money is all posted by the 30th of November with an agreed upon 3rd party. The match is played in December on an agreed upon date.

2. The match will be played at Jamacia Joe's in Oklahoma City on a Diamond 9ft table.

3. The game is one pocket - gambling rules no 3 foul - 10 ahead.

4. We play 8 hours a day until the match is done.

5. Neither player is allowed to talk with anyone but the wait staff unless both players are present for the conversation with any other person. Any violation of this condition will be a loss of game.

6. A referee will be present and that referee will be paid 5% from the winner's take for his services.

I am not going to argue about it. Yes or no will suffice. Of course I know that it's unlikely that you will let it go at that. But these are my terms. Last time I went with almost all of yours. This time if you can get the backing and you are not afraid to play you can win another 20k.

Once again, these terms are non-negotiable. You can berate me all you want to but this is how I want to play. If you feel you can't win then a simple no is enough.

Everyone else, go ahead and flame away. You're welcome.

Just wondering why you wanna bet so high?

Who would flame this? Those are pretty equitable terms to offer a player who is even or better.

I really hope it happens. Lack of backer might get you, but the Action guys here might go in on a corporation.

Ahhh, I love it. This is like an old west showdown. Bravo to JB stepping up to gamble without looking for the lock. More guys like JB would bring pool back.

Because it sounds good...and the higher you pump it up, the more likely you AREN'T going to get a game.
but...but...but...I thought that betting high was the sign of a real MAN among pool players? Like Titanic Thompson, Daddy Warbucks,Fats, and Grady?
Anyone else is a sissy britches with no heart, no gamble, and the backbone of a nit??
Man, you stopped preaching and gone to meddling now.

What was the game played and score of the last match up between JB and Lou?
I've seen photos and it looked like it was at Sandcastle Billiards in the accu stats arena. Why the venue change, JB?

I dig the old wild west showdown here.
JB is standing at the entrance with arms resting on top of the double swinging doors. He glanced around the smoke filled air of the saloon, and there is Lou playing poker at a table in the far corner, sitting with his back to him.

Gotta love it here.

Even though I bet against you last time, this seems more than a reasonable list of "demands". However, I'm betting on your this time. I'm also willing to put some money on Lou NEVER playing this match ;)

Props to JB for wanting to try again, I see nothing wrong with his demands. I still think Lou has the best of it, and hoping he can get the backing to make this happen!

If you win a match, you never let your opponent get ahead on one bet. Unless of course there is a sweetener for Lou. Like 2:1 or 3:1 on the money.

I don't want to break even.

I understand that but coming up with 20 thousand would probably be tough for a lot of people. Would be nice to see you guys play again. Same outcome though....Lou's stealing unless you've fixed that stroke.

I have one video game night and almost missed out on this thread. Let the woofing begin :D

Gentleman, please. I am trying to bet $20,000 here. :-)
