I wonder what there going to do to that poor 8 year old boy when they arrest him for gambling pool? That might ruin his life he better quit that stuff.
Is there luck in poker yes(more in the short term, longterm is what matters) is there skill yes( alot more skill then luck that is involved, there is luck with everything) therefore if you try and get good at poker and keep trying to improve and have a bigger sample size then more then just one for which goes for about anything competitive then poker is a game of skill and is nothing at all comparbale to tables games which have an edge for the house and can not be worked around, and horses which yes you can bet on the fav consistently and win but it just aint gonna be enough with the fluctuation in betting odds to do you any good.
get 30 people and send 10 out to poker, 10 out to table games, and 10 out to horses and have them try as hard as they can to become good and winning for what they are trying for. those 10 for table games, and 10 for horses aint gonna have a chance overall and more then fifty percent of them are going to be broke probly 70% or 80% more like it, but for poker if they try and have a good sample and learn the right things which is possible then most of them probably all of them if went about the right way will be consistent winners.
again this is why i think poker and pool aren't gambling because if you get skilled at them then you will succeed. others yes some will get lucky but overall aint gonna work.

Gambling in pool is sort of a funny thing. First off, the game is almost entirely one of skill and not luck. Poker, table games, the track and other such stuff are to significant degrees games of chance, no matter how skilled one may be at them.
