why the cactus logo? I thought you were in michigan..are they signed or marked ?

Wow. I just realized that. You're selling South West clones with joint protectors that have the South West logo on them?? Isn't that a bit... contraversial?

This has already been discussed, and I feel really sorry for the unsuspecting "league player" or kid who buys one of these in the future as a SW satin cue. The ring work is sickeningly close to the real deal. I applaud the idea of making a tribute cue but there should be something on the cue to really separates it from the original. Just my .02 on the matter.

Sorry. I didn't know this had been discussed elsewhere. Thanks for the link.

Personally, I think a tribute cue is one thing (although still debatable), but using the logo? That borders on illegal. No?

As i said before there are many things differant the pin ,the length of the butt section the bumper length of wrap area shaft tapper length of the furule i would say these have many differences plus the one has cork wrap which sw never uses hope this clears things up again!

I fully understand that there are several subtle differences in the cues you made and an original SW satin cue and I fully agree on the cork wrap. However, I still think they will be mistaken for Satin cues and I am almost positive that they will be sold as SW cues by some unscrupulous individuals in the futue.

Eddie Farris made several cues that were similar to SW cues in the early 1990s and when you sat them side by side with a SW cue there were several minor differences, however that did not stop people from selling them as SW cues to people that did not know the difference when the cues stood alone.

I wish you the best of luck with the cues and I am guessing that they sold fairly quickly at your very attractive price point.

I FEEL SICK AFTER READING THIS THREAD, AND THE OTHER GALLERY THREAD THAT IS LINKED IN THIS ONE.......

LEE,
HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY THINK THAT NO NONE WOULD HAVE ISSUE WITH YOU BUILDING A COPY OF A SW, AND THEN SELLING IT WITH A SET OF "CACTUS" JP'S??????

I'VE SEEN VERY SHADY THINGS DONE IN HTE CUE INDUSTRY, BUT THIS ONE IS RIGHT AT THE TOP OF THAT LIST.

THE SUBTLE DIFFERENCES ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR AN UNEDUCATED CUE BUYER TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. I'M SO GLAD I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH/READING/STUDYING BEFORE I STARTED BUYING/SELLING/TRADING CUES...... IF I HADN'T, AND I HAD RUN INTO SOMEONE SELLING BLATANT FAKES LIKE THIS, IT COULD HAVE COST ME A LOT OF MONEY. ONE OF THESE CUES WILL CERTAINLY GET SOLD DOWN THE ROAD AS A SW, TO SOMEONE THAT JUST DOESN'T KNOW ANY BETTER.

MY FAVORITE PART IS, THAT YOU CLAIM TO HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG, AND THAT IT'S EASY TO TELL THE CUES APART, WHEN YOU KNOW FULL WELL, THAT YOU BUILT THESE CUES IN THIS MANNER TO MAKE THEM EASIER TO SELL BECAUSE THEY ARE SW COPIES.

DID YOU EVEN GO TO THE EXTENT TO EPOXY UNDER THE BUMPER?

YOU CAN CALL ME NAMES, OR WHATEVER YOU LIKE, BUT I WASN'T GOING TO BEAT AROUND THE BUSH LIKE THE OTHER GUYS DID..... WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS WRONG, AND DECEITFUL, AND YOU KNOW IT. I KNOW THE ECONOMY AND THE MARKET IS TOUGH, BUT SELLING CUES IN THIS MANNER IS JUST DOWNRIGHT WRONG.

help me

When does it end Lee............When? You have made it perfectly clear over the years that you will stoop to any level to sell just about anything.....from knock-offs to signed hats, to almost WHITTEN CASES.....lol

It is amazing to me that you are still allowed on this site, after being caught over and over again ripping people off and having no second thoughts whatsoever.

Is this what we should expect from AZ.....as long as your an advertiser its okay to mislead and outright lie to everyone on here????????????? I guess money talks here.

Whats next Lee your new line of Bary Sambotti cues........and for only $1,500 each. They even come with a signed hat LOL

thanks guys I was starting to think it was just me who found this wrong.
many people make SW clones, no others sell them with Cactus joint protectors....very misleading

These have a brianna name engraved in the brass pins so how could this even be a issue? unless you cant read

I suggest a picture of the engraved joint pin. Many people just skim posts and read titles, not everyone reads through the entirety of the post. Pictures do speak louder than words.

NOTHING THAT I SAID WAS A CHEAP SHOT. I SAID WHAT I THOUGHT, WHICH IS WHAT I DO HERE ON AZ, AND IN PERSON.

LAST TIME I TRIED TO TALK TO YOU AT THE SHOW, YOU JUST TOLD ME I COULDN'T AFFORD THE PLAIN FOUR POINT MOTTEY YOU HAD IN YOUR BOOTH, WHEN I ASKED HOW MUCH IT WAS...... FUNNY, THE THINGS THAT ARE SAID WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO. TALKING TO YOU,SINCE THAT TIME, HAS BEEN VERY DISTANT FROM MY MIND.

SO YOU'RE SAYING THAT ALL THESE "french polish finish" CUES THAT YOU HAVE MADE/SOLD SO FAR HAD "BRIANNA" ON THE PIN, BUT YOU NEGLECTED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE ENGRAVED PIN FOR ANY OF THE THREADS YOU STARTED ABOUT THEM?

OH WELL, THE READERS CAN MAKE UP THEIR OWN MINDS ABOUT THIS SITUATION, I'M JUST GLAD THAT I KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN SW CUES.

Lee, it is quite clear that the cues were meant to copy SW cues. My question is why? You seem to have the skill to make about anything you would want, and at that price point for a USA made cue,the cues would sell very well. Why not sign them? Why not engrave on the butt? Tribute cues are great, copies are not. SW cues is run by a lady did you not consider that?

Jamie

All the cues are right here on my pool table they have not been sold and they are engraved which i feel is one of many ways to tell them apart as for an expensive paul mottey cue i never really had any that were more then $2700.00 and i know who you are and you buy cues years ago don sherman pointed you out at the show say what you want but I never said that to you I take take all customors looking at cues very serious if something like that was said at my booth it was said in a joking matter

I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED DURING THAT CONVERSATION, AS DO ALL THE PEOPLE I WAS WITH. I'M NOT GETTING INTO A DEBATE OVER THAT. (I NEVER SAID A FANCY MOTTEY, IT WAS A PLAIN 4 POINTER, THAT YOU TOLD ME I COULDN'T AFFORD)

AS I SAID BEFORE, THE PEOPLE READING THIS THREAD CAN MAKE UP THEIR ON MINDS ON THESE CUES, I JUST STATED MY OPINION. I'VE ALSO GOTTEN MANY PHONE CALLS AND PM'S FROM PEOPLE AGREEING WITH ME, SO I'M GONNA HAVE TO SAY THAT MY OPINIONS AREN'T THAT FAR FROM THE OVERALL PUBLIC OPINION.
