a few years ago I gave my son a cue. It is a crappy $29.00 cue but he took it around a tournament and got a bunch of players sign it. A coupl of the autographs are a little shakey but some of the names that are on this cue are Archer, Strickland, Mika, Gabe Owen, John Schmidt, Mike Davis, Oscar and Earnesto, Frost, Looks like a very bad Cory D, Robb Saez, Hillbilly, Rodney, Jose Parica There are a couple others on their that I can't make out who it is.

My son is wanting to go to church camp this summer and it is very expensive. He is doing everything he can to save up the money and asked me what I though it was worth and how much he could sell it for. So can anyone give me an idea? Also if anyone is interested in buying it from him PM me I will get some pics to you. But the real question is what is it worth?

i think it will be worth more to him in the future than you can sell it for now.

let him keep the cue
church camp..... i'm in for $20
my first camp wasnt a church camp ,
but it was one of the best times of my life
let's send the kid to camp!

Hey Mark,

You shoud ID all the names you can, throw it on Ebay with a photo, for a 10 day sale, provide the link in AZB so we all see it as well. You will KNOW exactly how much it is worth by the winning bid.

And don't overprice it. Start it at $1.00. You'd be surpised but you get more interest and more bidders with lower starting price, and then it gets competitive the more bidders that are "watching" the auction...

Heck, I'd bid on it... been cool to add to the basement pool room :)

OK, great idea as well....put me down for $20 !!!!

With about 15-20 signatures and no certificate of authenticity I think it would sell somewhere between 100-200 dollars on ebay.

If the pictures you provide show the players signing the cue, I could see it getting up over 300.

Better idea?

Why not an auction in the BST forum here. I think you could get a lot of people to sign up for a 20 dollar spot.

Man alive you guys are awesome, I can't believe that you would put in $20 to help him out. I didn't come on here to beg, well I kinda did hoping that someone would just want it. I am not good with ebay and so I will try on the BST forum too. I have no experience with that either, I know I am lame :)

Try & find another way to send your son to camp because I guarantee when he's older he could regret getting rid of it, keeping the cue is the best thing to do in my opinion especially when it has all those legendary names attached to it.

Sir,
I don't know you but if you're kid is willing to do that to raise money so he can go to church camp I'll say you're doing a pretty good job as a dad !

Cue

The cue is worth whatever someone is willing to pay.
I'd suggest buying those candy bar fundraiser boxes to gain money for camp. %60 or so profit and he could sell a few boxes a day. I'm sure between yourself and AZ we could put him in his first box of candy bars'
Kids must learn that money is very tight these days. They get to comfortable in the convenience world we live in..

Thank you very much I am actually touched and flattered by all this. I obviously am coming out of pocket too for this but I am in the pool biz which means I can't afford everything.

Church camp? Absolutely not- We gotta have some standards around here!

Haha. I went to Catholic skewl.

How much is the camp? I'd be for the $ponsorship thing too.

The camp is $600, I think I am going to get with him this afternoon and set up a paypal for him so he can maybe do other things too.

priceless

You should never sell anything that can't be replaced. It is worth more than 600. If I had it and sold it I would regret it for a long time. Let him keep it and find other means for camp.

I agree, he should keep it but he is going all out to get to this thing. Like I said I will be obviously putting in and if I set him up a pay pal He has other things he can put on ebay.

If you don't mind me asking how old is your son? What "kind" of church camp will he be attending?
