A favorite, predictable double kiss?

I double kiss too often banking, crossover banking, close to the corner crossover banking......if it can 'clack', it does.

I know that Grady has some tips about avoiding the kiss on banks involving having an open pocket to the corner, for the cb to pass the banked ball.

Does anyone have any luck with predicting and playing to your advantage, those double kisses?

For balls frozen to the rail, could the post-rebound collision tangent/stun line be a rough guide to the reaction of both balls?

Any body have any luck with predicting double kisses and their results?

I guess I'm looking to turn my lemons into orange juice.

I use the " Double Kiss " for one pocket all the time .
I use it for offense , going for my pocket and defense,
kicking a ball from a pocket . I'm sure there are other times
a double kiss can be used to your advantage...
 
One pocket has helped me avoid kiss shots (or play them to my advantage) Try playing one pocket more often these shots are commen and you will start to see them before you shoot them. One shot I know to avoid is when I am lined up on a cross corner bank and I am aimed into my opponents pocket the bank is probably a double kiss

I read somewhere and believe it to be true from experience, that if you're aiming at the object ball and you look as if you're aiming directly towards a corner pocket, then you're likely to double kiss. From here, you'll have to adjust by throwing the ball or putting top or bottom to avoid it.

Where would you expect the cb to go when the cross-side bank actually pockets into to the same side left corner? and why?

Did you hit the cb with stun, follow, draw, left or right english? to get that result? Did you hit it straight on? or cut it? Did you hit it medium speed or crisp?

Does this happen because you hit the cross-side bank bad? or did you plan for the result, and hit it good?

I'm trying to figure out the why..I sometimes get these wacky kiss results too, and wonder..waahoppin? Most often, it seems to be the frozen OB that kisses in a strange way.

Okay, so here's a good rule of thumb, but please don't tell anyone I told you. If you draw an imaginary line through the cue ball and the object ball, and that line is going toward the corner pocket, you have a double kiss. You can duck this kiss, but it isn't easy. At least this way you know the kiss is there. But keep this a secret between us, okay.

There is a way to actually aim them. Especially where the cb will go afterwards....Just look it as the ob coming off the rail with the cb still there, where will the ob hit the cb? That gives you your app. angle of departure for the cb.

can make it pretty consistently in the side. ME..NO.

Very nice shot. So..the 8ball need not be there to make the 9ball bank with the kiss-right?

This is the most surprising shot I've seen in a long time. Some would think it was valid at bank pool, which it clearly is not. Did you invent it or did you learn it from someone?

someone showed me the shot and I thought it was one of the coolest I ever saw. Another double kiss I invented is the one at 1:47 on this video:

I've found a lot of double kisses to use in one pocket, some of my favorite shots.

no, doesn't need to be, but the second ball being there makes it look like the cue ball has to collide with it, which surprises people when it doesn't get touched. lol
