I got this cue from Ernie about 6 months ago and never shared it with AZB

its a 1 of 1 (I designed it)

its the first time he has ever used colored veneers in the ringwork - it turned out better than he expected...I love it

so the specs:
--ivory points, joint, buttcap, windows
--custom abalone peacock inlays
--elephant ear wrap
--matching JP's
--phenolic inserts

the pictures speak for themselves...

Enjoy

Ryan

One of the most beautiful Gina cues in my opinion!
Enjoy it!
How do the phenolic inserts perform compared to brass ones?
Thanks,
Petros

Very nice Gina Ryan... I love the look of Abalone and inlaid into ivory. Congrats!

phenolic inserts are a very special request...I probably shouldnt mention them.

they do play "softer" than the brass...so if you are looking for a softer hitting version of ernie's ebony nosed cues - this is it

I like it a lot! What nice grain the ivory has. Hmmmm I have to call him and see if I can order a cue. How does his cues generally play - of course I know it´s hard to answer but....?

A note about the phenolic inserts. Don't confuse the "softer" hit to mean any less solid. The phenolic insert provides an extremely solid hit, like all of Ernie's cues. It is just a little different feel than the brass insert. It is a little less metallic feel/sound. It is "softer" only like an ivory joint hit is softer. But phenolic is an extremely hard/solid material. After all they do make balls out of it. ;) It perhaps dampens vibration a smidge, but really it just offers a little different feel to the feedback of the cue.

BTW, the hit is fantastic.

Ryan,
That is a great looking cue. I love when Ernie isolates his designs with an accent color. We had listed a cue called Shakazula in red and out of the bunch I thought it was the nicest.
