A Huge Thank You from CueSports International (CSI)!

Steve, he played pool for 20 frigging hours. When we got back to the room, he was so wound up, he couldn't sleep right away. Pool balls were dancing in his head while he was trying to go to sleep.

It wasn't a 3-hour break, like what you're saying happened here. His 47-year-old body gave out after playing pool for 20 hours, and he didn't have enough time to recharge with rest and food.

If they had played the finals the night before, he would have won. Ask Billy Incardona. He was there. He spanked Jose Parica on the TV table that night, and the next day, Jose ran over Keith like Mack truck. :embarrassed2:

You are making my point for me. No break does a player in gear any good. 3 hours. 5 hours. 10 hours. And here was Keith playing after 20 hours and had hit his gear.

Why do you think a basketball coach calls a time out when the opponent team scores 8 or 10 points in a row?

Jay Helfert posted that players take a break all the time for the day and for a top player it wouldn't affect them. That is dead wrong and just a statement of trying to stand behind someone that gave him a paycheck.

So this is your way of saying "thanks for making my dream of TAR come true at least for a little while, because without you, there would never have been a TAR, and without you, there isn't one now. Enjoyed it while it lasted. Most people never do have their dreams come true even for a little while. Thanks again for making mine come true and letting me have those memories!"

Funny, it sure seems to sound like "You took away my gravy train, so I'm going to see what I can do to hurt you."

Nothing like slamming doors and burning bridges along the way. Let's just hope that Mark and Ozzy aren't as vindictive as some on here are. Without them, what is left for pool? Everyone talks about pool being in the dumps, so let's all jump on the one guy that is still doing something good for pool, and at a cost to him. No profit in it. Nice move, guys!

As far as giving Matchroom points to someone else, just who would that someone else even be? Charlie Williams??

Why are you equating Ozzy to Mark?

But we're talking about human beings here, not machines. After a certain amount of time, the body needs sleep and food. You need time to recharge.

Keith hit his gear long before that 20 hours. What a day that was! He beat quite a few good players. Best match of the night, of course, was Keith v. Alex. Poor Niels. It was his first Open tournament, and I don't think he knew what hit him after Keith won that match. It was a good day.

But taking a break from a pool match, like going outside to smoke a cigarette or getting a quick snack, is quite different than the body needing sleep because you've been awake for almost 24 hours in the heat of the battle. Don't you think?

Here's where they had to stop Efren and Bustie's match on the TV table so Keith and ALex could finish their match --> HERE

There was TAR before Mark Griffin. There is still TAR after Mark Griffin. [sarcasm]I'm sure you knew that because you're really savvy to the pool world, obviously. [/sarcasm]

Plenty. The two bar table events (US OPEN/USBTC) and a regional event (Swannee) are cool and all but the world doesn't stop if they do. New events pop up every year, all over the country.

As far as giving Matchroom points to someone else, just who would that someone else even be? Charlie Williams??

There are plenty of events out there. I believe next year there will be far more events with Mosconi points.

Your knowledge of the history of TAR is sorely lacking. Which does not surprise me in the least.

Mark and CSI do a lot of good for pool. I spent a lot of years with them doing it. When people were telling me what happened I was sick. I am associated with CSI in peoples minds. So when the time came I spoke up.

I was going to keep my mouth shut because I knew people would jump on the "You're just mad" BS. But I couldnt do it. So here I am being talked down to by someone who has never done anything in the game. So situation normal.

Try and turn this into drama between me and whoever if you want. I'm not biting. This is about a bad decision made by a company and then doubled down on by a member of that company breaking forum rules to take shots at people calling him out.

Yes, I knew that, I also knew that it wouldn't have lasted near as long as it did, or been what it was without Mark's help. And, when Mark pulled the plug on the cost of it all, that was the end of it.

Sure they do, but how low in the barrel are willing to to go to have a points event? So, let's just make some regional event a points event.

Like what? What has the prestige of U.S. Opens, or well established big tournaments?

It's your tale, spin it any way you want to.;)

Prestige? Really? When someone says "the US Open", the first and probably only thing people think of is the 9ball event in VA. Throwing a name on something doesn't do anything. Mix in the fact that they're playing these events on bar tables and you're taking even more "prestige" away.

You want prestige, here you go:

Man, what's your point? You've been tail-gating me on this thread ever since I started posting in it.

Never mind. I think I get it now.

No. I don't think you do. My tolerance for incoherent nonsense on this site is always set pretty high, but you somehow pegged above that limit with your replies on this thread. Usually I just roll my eyes and keep scrolling. No offense. But, you do write well. There's that.

You should check out TAR's newest release with Darren Appleton. Its sponsored by Predator Cues. It was tricky doing it since TAR is dead and all.

https://vimeo.com/ondemand/perfectpractice2

Or check out some of the studio prints I have released: http://theactionreport.com/studio-series-paper-edition/

I mean you do know everything and since TAR couldnt possibly survive I'm not sure how any of this is actually possible but it somehow does seem to exist.

Like I said, Justin, spin it any way you want to. You know full and well that the TAR you have now is not the same TAR you had when Mark was funding it.

And, I never claimed to know everything. Not by a long shot, despite your claim to me doing so. So, that's nothing but a false slam by you to make yourself look better. I'm curious, since you have so much respect for Mark and CSI, did you bother to call them and talk about this privately before you got on here to slam them, and then went out of your way to get Ozzy banned? Wonder why you don't also go out of your way to get the others on here with obvious multiple aliases banned? Guess it just doesn't suit your agenda enough to bother...

My writing skills must be subpar. You're right. Thanks for the confirmation. Never been much of a writer. I prefer pictures.

Nonsense is what's going on in this thread. You're just playing tag-team, nothing more and nothing less.

We should all pay allegiance to Keith Jawahir from Queens. Yeah, that's the ticket. Write on. :embarrassed2:

You are the one who said TAR was gone. Its not.

I have no desire to talk to Mark or Ozzy after the fact. Mark has been very vocal about other promoters when they do things he disagrees with. I don't see why he would have a problem when others do it.

I got Ozzy banned? I guess I logged into his third account and called me disgruntled? All I did was point out the obvious. Honestly I never thought he would get banned. It surprised me. I expect at least one of the accounts will be back at some point. Mike is pretty fair that way.

Edit: When other people take shots at me from obvious clone accounts I will do my best to call them on it. Have in the past.

Whoa Nellie. Ozzy is banned?

Well, this is not my website, and whatever the moderators do is their prerogative.

I personally feel bad that he has been banned. :frown:

Figure your shit out CSI, this won't fly too long. Everyone messes up, important thing is just to figure out when you messed up and then try to be better in the future. You can't change the past but you can put systems in place to prevent these incidents in the future. Even if it's something to the players that lets them know in advance what the penalty is.

It is pretty telling that a business as old as CSI can not acknowledge mistakes. Its the first step in recovery! Just stays recalcitrant to the very end. They break a few eggs along the way of a few innocent bystanders named Ko and Sky that are/were affected by corporate decisions, corporate response is "so what".

vs

Ops, we were unaware of the negative aspect on KO and Sky and it was an accident! We have established X, Y & Z to prevent it ever happening again. Case closed!

When you post with multiple accounts disparaging otherw, it's an instant ban here.

Well, he can't even say anything, all the while people write crap about him on this thread, because he's been banned. :(
