Approximately $33,000 USD!

The UMB promises to pay 29,000 euros to the maker of a series of 29 in 3-Cushion during an official match, i.e. a NEW world record.

I think at least two of those runs were in league matches that were to 50 points. In the recent past many matches have been with either sets to 15 points or to a single 40 points. Those make long runs less likely. In 2019 the World Champion knock-out phase was 40-point matches. The 2021 World Championship changed to 50-point matches starting with the round of 32.

33k for 29 points...I'll be honest, I'm not really impressed. You have to play in a sanctioned match as well...Nah, I'm definetly not impressed by that prize money. The equivalent would probably be to run 20 racks of 9 ball in a match (if matches were long enough to allow), or 400 balls in straight pool if the matches were long enough. In snooker it would probably be close to two 147's in a match or something. Cue sports are severely underpaid, and that includes snooker.

33k isn't life changing money. You can blow through that much in a couple of months doing nothing special at all and afterwards have no idea where the money went. If you have a good job it's like 6 months salary. I'd be happy to have it, anyone would, but if you set aside time towards breaking such a tough record, it could quickly become a losing proposition, even if you do make it. You'd have to travel to every event, stay in hotels, eat at restaurants etc.. Even if you sleep in your car and eat at McD, you still have to travel and forfeit income. It's like playing on the Eurotour. Even 3. place is barely breaking even and you have to beat absolute monsters, every time.

I'd have bet it is more than for a record, 'pitch till you win' Straight pool record!

They can't even fit one ball!
I have seen players trying to shoot pool on a carom table twice (different parties). They eventually decided that the dust holes at the corners were not large enough for the balls to fit and moved to a smaller table which had larger pockets.

Mine is 13. I thought I was a king until Sang lee and the crew were spotting me 50-24.
I became a regular in the donating section, it was worth the investment.
I played a Korean pro 6 sets (he went to 40 and I to 20)
and...ow:

Day one:
40-12
36-20
40-8
38-20

Day 2:
40-5
40-5
