I have been knowing Keebie for about 7 years now. Last Friday he came in to town and spoke to the kids in my school program. Several kids have come up to me this week and said they really enjoyed his presentation and thanked me for having him come by. So Keeb thanks for that. Having guest speakers is a really strong teaching tool for whatever you are trying to accomplish with a group of kids.

We filmed some videos for my youtube channel. Although we had an improvised lighting system and a flip camera I think the content of the videos is strong. I am leaving a link so everyone can watch it.

The next time we film I am hoping to have a better camera where I can use and external microphone.

Thanks marcus for having me over. You did a wonderful job with the first two videos and getting them out in what 5 days....thats lightning quick my friend.

I had a great time speaking to the kids and "trying" to hit a few trick shots for the lol. Can't wait for the next go around to come soon.

by the way Thanks for the good food and that recipe your wife gave me turned out great by the way. I also enjoyed shooting up at Legends and Caspers with you.

best wishes,
Keebie

i liked the video but i'm going nuts the whole time watching it thinking "when's he going to hit the ball?!!!"

I'm showing them how to prepare to hit the ball lol.....i think i finally hit one or two in the second video.

next time we are going to put up some vids of us playing some one hole or 9 ball and hopefully a few snooker matches eventually.....we played some snooker this weekend. I had a couple breaks in the 20's and one i think around 35 and marcus had a real nice one in the mid 20's i believe. Even played a game of one hole on the snooker table up at caspers.....very nice place and thats an understatement.

Keeb phoned me on his way back to Lafayette, after visiting Marcus and the kids. I was really impressed with all the time and effort both of you put into this program. As I mentioned to Marcus, I also plan to stop by as a 'guest lecturer' the next time I'm in Houston...which I hope will be soon! Keep up the great work guys!

Thanks for the compliment Scott that means alot coming from someone like you. With patience and and drive we will continue to try and make good things happen for those kids and put some good information out at the same time for them and the general public.

The kids would love having some one like you over. Your attitude is perfect for them, as you have a true love for the game that very much shows in how you present yourself.....kids are mesmerized by that. They get as excited as you are about a subject when you show it.

The better people understand the better they will play. The more people that play the stronger the body of pool can become.

Like they say: If you build it they will come.

hi there,

great videos that are! Very nice quality and good stuff presented, too!
Working with kids is wonderful and funny-they can be so thankful and make your day perfectly. I can t wait to be able to get outdoor again to work with the kids in the pool-club where i ll give lessons in the future. Will be very interesting. The club really invested time and heartblood to keep good ppl. We ll be 3 instructors/teachers who ll work with the players. Next to me, there will be 2 great players which also give lessons. C. Reimering (won some Eurotour titles) and A. Roschkowsky (many European Championship titles and countless national titles) -really world-class guys. Can t wait to make those things together with them.

Great video guys.. I learned a thing or two new that I've never heard from other instructors. You had a good delivery and approach to teaching.. Well done!

Nice soft cue bag there grey ^^
4/8? Is it mezz or buffalo or some other brand?

thanks....no its not a mezz or a buffalo....its a Silver Fox

it has some custom embroidery on it....was my "sponsor" bag when i was playing all the time. Joel had it custom made and gave it to me, being that he was making all my cues and taking care of my equipment needs.

Its got "Omni Bridge" and "Perma-Tip" (two patents that Joel has) embroidered on the front on the pockets and "weinstock custom cues" on the shoulder strap.

The little stars are called Conchos and you can get those from a boot store or leather shop......

Holds 6 butts and 12 shafts

Plus Jump cue

and plenty of storage space in the front 5/6 pockets.

I could live out that bag....love it to death.

I watched both videos and they were excellent reminders for me about things I used to know and forgot over the years. Just getting my wrist straightend out made a real difference playing tonight. Of course I knew this once, but I had totally forgotten and developed an inward twist of my wrist in my stroke that did not help with making longer shots at all...will keep an eye out for it now again!

So thanks a lot and doing this for the kids is a wonderful thing.
