In the for/sale section...

there should be some automated software that erases phrases like "Fire Sale" "Blowout" "Giveaway" from the thread title if they appear there.

Because, it isn't.  :p

best,

It is a fire sale. Your head will be on fire if you get suckered by the scam/overpriced cue for sale.

While those ads are typically BS, they aren't much worse than "Should Go Fast:...", which if I recall took you all of 15 minutes to buy. :D

It did look to be a good deal. Every once in a while, one actually shows up.

Agree lol.

I also hate when you have to pm for a price of something, it seems like a used car salesman trick to me unless of course it's a high priced item that everyone knows is going to go high. I also hate when there aren't pictures unless your name is Deanoc.

What someone wouldn't take the chicken feed you offered for their cue?

...or open up those threads to "thread crapping". I really like that idea.

Yeah forums wouldn't sell much if the Truth in Advertising Act was enforced in it, but you're right it would be great if some of these guys used a bigger Thesaurus ha ha.

After 25 bumps, anybody should be able to make any comment on the thread.
For instance:

"If this cue wasn't so ****ing ugly & beat up, I might offer half of your ridiculous asking price"

"These cues play like crap, I wouldn't buy it with Kickin' Chicken's money"

"What happened to the shafts that came with the cue when I sold it last year"

My favorite is when the seller threatens to take it to Ebay, and a year later they are still bumping

Nah Joey. One should have to pay 5 Bucks if the words, Lights Out and Hits a Ton are included in the ad.

I was thinking of buying a Paris snooker cue....
....they claimed it hit a tonne....

LOL. I love the ebay threats as well. oh, so now the seller will have to pay a 10% premium selling his cue, and he will now need to price even lower because of the competition on Ebay. Too funny !!

So many "test hit only". I guess they all failed. But hey you might like it, it's a monster that hits a ton!
You know, I was only looking for a 3/4 ton...

I like $5 per bump, but as overpriced as much of the items are, 2 pages of bumps would be a bargain.

Noticed that there are lots and lots of people doing the ole 5-7 cue listings in a row, with each one being for THOUSANDS of dollars, and they don't pay for the gold.

Only in pool....

They should pay $5 per bump.

Speaking of the for sale forum - did everybody else but me hit the lottery? The price of the cues has skyrocketed in recent years but my bank account hasn't kept up with the increase.
