American World Straight Pool Champion 2009?

I honestly only read Scott Lee's post referring to someone talking about Max's posts... I didn't "call-out" Storke personally. It was meant for Lou, Storke, and everyone else who says they'd be inclined to help if it weren't for the lack of posts. The guy's a pro asking for help. Help, or... don't help. But, to ram about their participation when we've done nothing but chew them up and shit'm out in the past is really insane.

Sorry guys... you know I don't normally post rammy shit--- but my fingers divorced my mind for a few minutes. Sorry. I hope someone reads my posts in a few years when the few pros left get tired of fading the hate and there aren't any left.

Since I agreed with Lou I guess the STFU was meant to me too.

I consider myself as a guy that will help more than I will not help. As an example I have donated to Sarah Rousey, because she contributes here.

I don't know Max, and have never read any posts of his, but if he contributed as much as John Schmidt or Sarah Rousey, I would consider throwing in a $ 100 just because I like having top players contribute on the forum. If I could get some cash in return if he did good, that would be a bonus.

No need to ask me to STFU because I have a different opinion, is there?

No offense taken, btw. First beer on me next time we meet, if you promise to STFU

gotta agree with ya here scott. the guy is just trying to get in and LOU wantsta disect him for credability. wow!
fyi everyone, i looked at lou's profile and guess what. no friends not even cocobolacowboy has befriended him. go figure!
go max ! hope ya get there.

I asked a question saying I could see at least two sides to the issue.

That's dissecting someones credibility? lol.

Go figure! (if you're actually capable of that ;-)

Oh yeah, dufus: the CCcowboy did ask me to be his "friend" and I told him thanks, but I was just too old and crusty to be doing stuff like that.

I just checked for specific dates, and they can only beat Orbitz (where I got my number) by about $15. $442 is the lowest total price I saw. Often the prices are listed without taxes and fees.

Had Mr. Eberle spoken up before now, the ticket could've been had for roughly $250. That would've been the $238 special and taxes and fees. Part of the rules for that special is that the tickets had to be bought 14 days in advance. The tournament has been known about considerably longer than that so I'm not sure why he waited until the last minute to try this.

Ya know...

You're a great player and part of me wants to say bestest of luck, I hope you find a sponsor here, and all that.

And part of me -- after looking at all 14 of your posts in over two years as an AZ member and not finding a single post that remotely approaches helping other board members with a tip, a suggestion, a shot explanation, an aiming system(?!), a trip report, or at least an entertaining story from your tournament experiences or matching up -- just wants to say, "eh."

I don't know. Maybe you're a regular on the "Ask the Pro" AZ forum and I just missed it.

Maybe not.

you should never come
to the tribal camp fire
and ask for help
empty handed
IMO

I'm with you on this.
I can see both sides of this argument, but I'm leaning heavily toward your side.
Maybe Max can get a home town pool room to sponsor him - someone who actually knows him.
This "drive-by" message doesn't look right to me....but, hey, if someone wants to western union Max money, that's not my business.

What is your malfunction?

First off, I never said I'd be inclined to help one way or the other. AND, if you actually read my posts in this thread, there's no "ramming" of anyone anywhere. (I don't know what chewing and shatting of pros you've been involved in in the past.)

So instead of getting your panties in a bunch over something you *imagined* I said, or intimated, or even dreamt last night, why don't you take another look and try participating in the discussion, about pros participating here, in a calm, intelligent, adult manner. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're capable of this.

Lou Figueroa
but I've been wrong before :-)

ok , glad you said lou. i didn't know where you were going with that. so then i agree with ya. also from what i see i have no use for LOU.he is here not to benefit anyone but to throw darts at them.i said max may have avoided this forum due to the abussive people on here. can't we all just get along .

You want everyone to "just get along." lol.

My advice is to take a look in the mirror, so to speak, and start there ;-)

Lou Figueroa
he just pegged out
my irony meter

Two lessons learned. First is to always read the whole thread before responding, especially if you're going to get a lil snippy. Second is that Mr. Lee has proven himself to have a biased over some more than others so taking what he says at face value without reading all the posts could lead one astray.

I commend you for admitting you only read a part of one post and for apologizing.

looks like i got ya. you have already pegged out my crap meter hehehe.

If looking to cut expenses what about the $800 for misc (food taxis CLOTHES?)

Food should be under $20 per day and taxis well under that. Do you have to buy a tuxedo to play in this event?

There is a phrase involving beggars and choosers that comes to mind here.

This Day's Inn near this pool room is maybe THE worst I have ever stayed at. ...
I stayed there a year ago, and I didn't see those problems. It was being seriously remodeled at that time. There did appear to be different wings with fairly different rooms, and maybe I was in one of the good ones.

It may be better today. The times we were there, there were a herd of loud-mouthed rowdy types hanging outside of our window, partying all night long. It is the closest to the pool room, but if I were going, I would try to stay further away at a nicer spot. Sleep and comfort is very important when in competition. :)

Am I the only one who saw this? Now I'm really confused.
Will the "real" Max Eberle please stand up.
How did the OP Max Eberle with 14 posts turn into maxeberle with 1 post in #55?
?

Please see post #26 on page 2 - Scott talked to Max & he was having trouble posting. Max was working with Mike H to get it resolved - Mike probably just cranked out a new account for Max so he could communicate with us.

IMO - seems to me

I have over 2,000 posts and frequently give helpful tips. My advice in this case is to think before you type.

I would love to play in this tournament and need a backer. Care to step up for me? $2,000 should cover it.

Prize Money...

Thanks again for those who gave postive comments.

Hi Bob Jewett! Thanks for the offer, it's always nice to reduce costs. ...that hotel report sounded pretty bad though.

Yes, I am in Idaho as Corey said. Spokane would be the airport.

Purse:
1st $11,500
2nd $5,000
3-4th $3,000
5-8th $2,200
9-16th $1,250
17-24th $550
25th-32nd $285

Luxury thanks for your concern on my post, not sure if you are being positive ...you talk about beggars yet that's not what I'm doing. This is a professional offer, if you don't like my numbers then why are you spending time on this and not with the girl in your profile pic :) Seriously though Luxury and with all due respect, I've done pro pool events in total style and I've done it on the shoestring, if you ever give it a shot you too will know what works best for you. Would your plan be to beg, hitch-hike, eat at McDonalds for breakfast lunch and dinner, and stay in a roach box? If that attracts you, go for it.

I am simply looking for people who care, with some means, or who know someone with means, and who want to be a part of something cool, namely a legitimate run at a world 14.1 title. If that is not you then go spend time following your bliss.

To Lou and company, the azbilliards forum is a tool for communication amongst the tribe of global pool players, fans, promoters, product makers, etc... it is not only for "regular" posters.

To those who show support,
Thank you Scott Lee!
Thank you Black Balled!
Thank you Matt-24
Thank you John Schmidt!
Thank you Phidget!
Thank you Oldzilla!
Thank you Steve Lipsky!
Thank you Corey Harper!
Thank you Feltmaster!
Thank you Meezer Girl!
Thank you Spider Web Comm!
Thank you Roy Steffensen!
Thank you UrackmIcrackm!
Thank you Bob Jewett!
Thank you Jam!

Truly,
Max
