you have a serious addiction to this forum :) i have never seen someone spam a forum like you lol :D

too true.

Yes, Jaden, but let's face the county's reality as a whole, only a small percentage of the poplation are able to do anything you could call "lucrative," as a matter of fact, many hard working families can barely feed their children and themselves.

Don't feel sorry for us Pro Players, we're doing better than you can imagine. We can go where we want, when we want - eat with whom we want, and play a game that we love......whether a pool player is worth millions or broke they all enjoy life and live it according to their inner voice, not the voice of the outside world

In November 2012 the U.S. Census Bureau said more than 16% of the population lived in poverty, including almost 20% of American children,[8] up from 14.3% (approximately 43.6 million) in 2009 and to its highest level since 1993. In 2008, 13.2% (39.8 million) Americans lived in poverty.[9] Starting in the 1980s, relative poverty rates have consistently exceeded those of other wealthy nations.[10] California has a poverty rate of 23.5%, the highest of any state in the country.[11][/IMG]
Yeah we can talk about pool compared to other things not being lucrative but you're right.

edit: no reason for all of that other stuff I wrote.

Thats not the point CJ. We are maybe trying to discuss Moderation and also making AZ a better place.

I hate to be mean in this thread but, if you weren't so busy constantly talking about yourself, you may have noticed other threads that don't pertain to YOU.

From what I have witnessed since I have been here, Donation Threads tend to go sideways right from the start.

That tells me that members don't want to get touched for money every time they turn around.

I said that I enjoy coming here to get away from everyday life. Not to help pay someone elses bills.

That is all you have to do is read a Donation thread and it's easy to see that many members are starting to feel the same.

Easy way to avoid this, don't allow those threads. It was just a suggestion based on my feelings and experience reading those threads.

The Go Fund me for the web bases reality series, Road Player, I have no problem with that. Something like that is for the betterment of pool.

I'm talking about individual send me to a tournament donations. Pay for my sisters funeral, etc.

The last one, send me to New York. Denise had 5 posts on AZ, and three of them were asking for donations. Where is Denise now, posting away? Nope, disappeared until the next time.

I believe that many of us, Watchez, myself and many others are a little protective of AZ. We tend to pay attention to what's going on around us. Maybe why we lash out at times.

CJ, if the topic isn't about YOU, I don't think that you see much else going on.

Tim, it is easy to see that CJ is trying his darndest to make even this thread all about him. He has a tendency to do that with most threads that are at the top and getting the most views.

That was another peeve of mine, maybe CJ caught that one. Spamming the main Forum with Sales Pitches. At least John Brumback and Lee Brett had the courtesy to keep their DVD Sales to one thread.

So judging by 90% of the posts this isn't working out so well is it. LoL

That's okay, I have to go weigh some money, date some models, win some friends and influence some people.

Was "the CJ' serious or joking.......hmmmmm ;) (haters really feel funny inside when you refer to yourself in the "2nd person" - is it insecurity or something else?) :groucho:

So you quote me, and then add a bunch of emoticons to try and mock my post.

Won't work CJ.
When I tease people, I like it when they have a good come back for me. It's part of the deal. Take a better jokester than yourself to do that.

And you may wonder why your fan base has dwindled as of late.

and the name of who is handing out the banning/warning

Yes. And that would keep people from assuming that it is just Dave that is doing all the banning. The same as you can see who is handing out the warnings.

Actually I have a new fan base, since I have offered to teach every kid I can (no child left behind) - I just spoke to one that's the son of one of my best friends in pool and being influenced by "Omaha John" to this very day.

I shared this story with him only minutes ago:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I remember when, at the age of 19, "Omaha John" and I were touring around on a road trip and ended up in a small bar in South Carolina. The owner of the bar was a BIG gambler and would take the 5 and the break from anyone playing on the bar table with the Big Cue Ball.

We had been going through a tough time and I was "breaking even" with everyone. Usually I would get ahead, then start "letting up," they would come back, "get even" and quit. This was getting annoying and I was beginning to question if I had enough "heart," to be a champion player.

This was a big thing in the gambling days, if you have the heart to close someone out. To put them away. And it was happening again, I had got up over 2k for $200 a game and now we raised it to $300. a game and the guy beat me 7 IN A ROW and we were just $100. winner.

Omaha John came up to me and said "if you're ever going to be a great road player you better do it now. I'm not out here "for my health," I have a wife and kid at home and I have to win, breaking even is for "suckers!"

He was serious, so, standing my cue against a near by stool, I stopped playing and went to the bathroom - it was "now or never," I thought, looking in the mirror, starring straight into my own eyes - "do you really want to be a pool player, do you really have what it takes?" I hesitated slightly, waiting for the answer to come from my "Inner Self"..... not the answer I wanted to hear, I HAD to know the truth....I needed to know and my life would change from that moment.

Finally the answer had come - I knew in my "heart of hearts" that the moment had arrived. "The Moment of Truth," I couldn't be a sucker, "stuck" at my current level, struggling to break even and making up excuses.

There was only one choice - to become a winner and break out of that "victim level" and do whatever it would take to learn the Truth about pool and what it takes to be the best.

I made that decision right then because I had to. And it's a decision that continues because life's much more about the "journey," than the "destination." Life is the best teacher, and at that moment my life was the game and for an instant they melded into One...The Game is the Teacher!

Often times we are held back because we don't need to win, we don't have to get better. I didn't have the luxury that day and I thank Omaha John for putting me in a situation where I had to be honest with myself. No one else matters when you're trying to get to the "next level,"{in life} it's all about ourselves.... it's about looking ourselves in the mirror and "real eyesing" that the answer we've been searching for is not outside, it's inside ourselves.

I went back out there and was like an entirely different person. John had been telling me to stop spinning my ball and playing low percentage shots....so I did. Others had made comments about my game that I had ignored because of my ego, so I incorporated those suggestions too - my perception had changed, the Game had given me a vital spiritual experience.

From that point I beat the guy out of over 8K and he looked like he had been drained of all his energy. I didn't care what it took I made myself shoot the correct shot, in the right way and forgot forever my childish reasons for not playing the Game correctly. To be a Champion at anything we must keep doing "the next right thing," whether we like it or not.

Looking back I can't help but think the chains of mediocrity had been broken, and I had started to become a player. From that moment on I had a "6th Sense" about pool and knew what I HAD to practice to improve and what I needed to ignore. "The chain breaks at it's weakest link" and that became the motto of my practice routines.

I'll always remember that lesson Omaha John Shuput and the Game taught me in that bar in South Carolina.... and the mirror that reflected what I needed to have "eyes that could see my self".

Often times we are held back because we don't need to win, we don't have to get better. I didn't have the luxury that day and I thank Omaha John for putting me in a situation where I had to be honest with myself. That would be 8th I guess but more importantly just wondering why he left them out.

Really didn't want to get scientific about it. Just went back 5 or 6 pages and only counted the posters that kept showing up.

rkc was silly to leave out, just didn't go back that far. Not going to count the mod.

CJ seeing he was falling off the pace goes to the whip and picks up three quick lengths
now only four lengths out of second and running smoothly. Watchez still in the lead
looking to go wire to wire. Cleary moving up in the middle of the pack, showing some
late speed. Coming off two good races, finished closing in both. RKC DQ'd

You left out Spiderwebcomm as a scratch.

CJ. You sure spend a lot of time typing to derail threads.

I wonder how you would feel if the Mods started deleting irrelevant posts from those who rather do such, other than contribute.

No Child Left Behind. You're doing a great job here.

In fact, have you given much thought on how long it takes you to type all your posts as opposed to how many people actually skip over your Twaddle.

I know that I do for one.
