Today I was at the local bar playing some pool during league and I noticed a couple arguing about something that they had read in a magazine while in line at walmart. I thought to myself, I wonder what they had for lunch today?

I don't bother replacing the laminated finish on the rails as it's a waste of time and money because they'll just be wasted in a month anyway because that's just how it is in a pool room. But the leg pedestals, rail blinds, ball box, and pedestal stabilizer all get sanded down to bare wood, all cracks, dents, dings repaired. Primer coated twice, painted with 4 Coates of semi gloss black to a finish. Feet and pocket casting are powder coated in silver vain. Sub rails cut off and figure 8 nut plates replaced with threaded inserts. New sub rails reinstalled, calibrated to Artemis K55' cushions, ProCut pockets, new GC 4 drop pockers. All slate backing removed, slate backing built on the table frame instead. Steel plate joined slate seams, leveling system installed.....but all this is displayed on my Facebook page if you'd like to see it in step by step progress.

Not that I would know about it or anything. I have heard things before.

The old pool hall also had a Ping Pong Table. The girls were in on it. If ya lost, you had to pull your pants down or dress up and get some spanks on either side with a paddle.

So, even losing was winning in most cases. Whoever won got to do the spanking. Win, win all around.

Depending on who you were playing, it was a great incentive to either win or lose.

But late at night, after the doors were locked, it was common for some of the girls to pull off their thongs and be hiking up their dresses for the boys frequently.

I loved that hall with all my heart. It was like Cheers with a No Panty Rule after 2 am. One of the girls looked like Norm unfortunately.

Nice table. That color cloth is my favorite.

I was wondering, does one have to purchase special staples to be able to penetrate the slate?

Or do you use glue to hold the cloth down. I think that double sided carpet tape would work well also. Altho I use Elmers Multy Purpose Glue to do a linen wrap, I have been using a Lepages Glue Stick lately. Less messy and works exactly the same.

I don't think a glue stick would work well on the cloth. Concrete nails with washers would hold it tight.

Gotta go, I have a Meucci on the lathe that needs a new wrap. Maybe I will try out my new air nailer. It came free with one of the compressors that I bought.

Maybe that would work better with a leather wrap. I could paint the ends of the nails different colors.

I will call it, Sunshine, Rainbows and Lolipops. And it will be a tribute wrap for Leslie Gore. She was very hot in her day.

BTW, I am working on a leather wrap system that would allow a player to change out a wrap to any color or texture that they want, depending on their mood. I am going to design it the same as Mac Tac. Just peel off the backing and wrap it around the handle.

I am thinking of calling it: TOW. Touch of Wrap.

Wraps Are the Teachers.

Well this thread has over 21,000 views now and the world, god save us, is so much the worse off for it.

I'm thinking this should be renamed the annual Festivus thread, where even the little guy can complain like a touring pro.
