When I was at Valley Forge in March I signed up and paid for a subscription for InsidePool Magazine at their booth. Have never heard from them and they don't reply to their emails. Anyone else sign up and get anything?

you know now that you mention it i think i got stiffed too. i signed up for a subscription but i moved twice right after it. i only got 3 magazines and they were all about 2-3 weeks late. that was years ago. i forgot about it until i read this

A few years ago Inside Pool was notorious for being late and ripping people off.

I have had a subscription for many years now. Since the new management or owners took over I have received every issue on time and service has greatly improved. One thing to consider is that during the summer months you do not get a issue every month. They combine 2 months. If you look at the subscription it is for 10 issues per year.

If you are having a problem give them a call.

call

JR and Sally are great people and they are not going to rip you off. Tournaments get very hectic and they may have misplaced your order. Call them at 888-428-7665

normally i'm all for stuff like this. i dig customers being open with their experiences. but in this case there're only so many billiards magazines anyway that if it shut down it would be missed for sure

Did you try to call them before you decided to come on here and try to crucify them?

Yes. Same story. Signed up, got nothing except a t-shirt that shrunk to washcloth size.

Scott <<== should have learned by now.....

Just one time, and my Bank got my GREEN back after no magazines, their Customer Service IMHO is just words, with NO SERVICE BEHIND the Words!

They stiffed me years ago after they were around for a year or so, i called several times after paying for 2 years script. A lady said she would take care of it, but she didn't and i never got any response after several times trying!!!
Shysters!!!!!!!!

All I can say is good luck getting anything from Inside Pool and why anyone do business with them or associate themselves with this organization, is beyond me.

When you see a pattern then come to the conclusion that things will never change.

Wow, serisouly, just call them or stop by their booth at any event. I've been at the booth before when someone says they never got their subscriptions and they immediately fix it, no questions asked. They usually hire someone to man the booth during the events and, let's face it, that job gets boring sitting there all day long. I'm sure it's just a mix up and they are always happy to fix anything like that.

I know JR & Sally, I work with InsidePool and am happy to associate myself with them. Unlike many people in the industry, they are not short-sighted about anything and aren't always needing to be PAID for everything they do. They truely love pool and care about the future of the sport.

Most magazines (and I suspect InsidePool is the same) do not make their money on their subscriptions but rather on their ad sales. So I can promise that they are not trying to "doop" you out of your money. They donate lots of free issues to many of the regional tours and associations all the time. Not EVERYTHING on this forum has to be made into a scandal.

I paid for 2 years of subscriptions with them and only received 2 magazines. I have tried unsuccessfully numerous times to get them to right the problem with no progress. I just chalk it up to them not caring and a company I will not do business with again.

I don't think anyones making a scandal out of it. People are just stating their opinions on their individual dealing with them. It seems in more cases than one that people didn't receive what they paid for even after several calls and or emails. It's not the customers fault of the lack of service. I'm sure they are nice people.
