This is an idea that I have thought might help the game. Horrible video by the way. A 3 second video that doesn't even show the shot go in? Is there more to the video or is it just my computer?
But really I go to a casino/bowling alley/pool room and it's always an all ages crowd and I see so many kids who make 1 in 20 shots (no exaggeration)
These poor kids can't even make a straight in shot that is right in front of the pocket because they swing so wildly that the squirt and curve and all that makes them miss. I think they would have so much more fun if they had this stick. Eventually they would graduate to a traditional cue but they might fall in love with the game.
Each cue should come with a ghost ball trainer that you can set behind the object ball so they know where to aim.
I've had this fantasy visual in my head for some time now:
A futuristic table that has sensors that show lines to the pockets and red ghost ball lights behind the balls (much like the "spider aiming tool" but without having a contraption on the table) combined with an auto stick for shooting that has an aiming laser and just run an experiment to see how well people can pocket balls that have never played before.
