This thread is the third thread that this feud has spilled onto. You had the original Wal Mart thread, which was great, and very entertaining. Then there was the thread in the Ask the Cue Maker section about the "funniest thread" Wal Mart thread which was started by Mr Varney. The original Wal Mart poster Stroke(?) found this thread as well and the arguement spilled over to it. Varney then realizes he went too far and creates an apology thread, and is promptly attacked here too.
While I find all of this highly entertaining, and puzzling as to why people can get sooo steamed about some text from some nobody on the internet. I have a problem with having to jump from thread to deleted thread to try and keep up with the who's going to kill who.....It is a bit soap operaish, but what the hell some of you folks are really fun to read.
Why can't we have a shark tank for these sorts of things Mr Wilson???? Or at least a recycle bin, where deleted threads are held for several days. That way if someone makes a good case as to why the thread should be restored, it can be. It would also serve as a place those of us who were following a thread can go and read it to the end. Id' like to be able to read the post that got it canned, I'd like to be able to make up my own mind about it... I don't think there's very many 9 yr olds out here, most of us are adults, many with thick skin who can take a bit of criticism.....Serve all of us not just the most sensitive ones in the group...

In fact John apologized to Varney and nobody noticed that part of his post. Seems that things are a bit backwards here but that is what makes these threads so entertaining, watching other people's responses.

Well, I know I LIKE you in person. I don't like some of the things you said on here but then I also speak up and tell you that. I don't mind having a beer with you anytime.
I also like Kevin and appreciate some of the work he does. I have told him that in person and I have sent business his way. Even so, I just won't stand for being knocked around town or in cyberspace. I go over the top a lot whe I get hot. I know it. I also know that IF people would simply present their opinion in a reasonable, non-insulting way then we could come to some form of consensus where we would all be reasonably well informed and come away with more knowledge than before the discussion started.
Just assume the other person has experience and isn't lying and try to find out what their basis is before slamming them. Often you will find that the other side is just misinformed or uneducated on that particular topic.

I was involved in benchrest rifle competition and of course the benchrest boards on the net a few years back. Guys would be at each other's throats all week behind a keyboard, reload side by side enjoying each other's company all weekend at a big match, and then be back at it hammer and tongs behind the keyboards Monday!
