I bought a brand new $7000.00 brunswick table from my local brunswick dealer that is just over a year old now. I have had nothing but problems since the installtion. During the installtion the split one of the slate srew mount hold down blocks. They said the repaired it. I have nothing but problems with the slate seams on both ends of the table. They have been out several times trying to repair this problem now they want to charge me OVER $500.00 to fix the problem. I said know way. I have tried to contact brunswick threw email and left messages by phone an get no response. I THINK SCENE BRUNSWICK LET THEM BE A DEALER SOMETHIMG SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THERE POPCORN TABLE MECHANIC WORK . If anyone could help me solve my problem or contact brunswick about this please p.m please. KNOW WONDER DIAMOND PRODUCTS R TAKING OVER!!! THANKS professor

You should get an actual table mechanic out to fix the table and not an "installer" from a reseller. There is a major difference.

Calling Brunswick is kinda like calling Ford to complain that the local dealer isn't fixing your car correctly... Brunswick is all about volume sales and leaves things up to their dealers to deal with any and all issues.

diamond is the best by far.

Brunswick,,,,no longer made in the U.S.A.....

Man,,,,,,as ''Slick Willie "" would say,,,,"' I feel your pain'',,,,,I was shocked when i learned from a dealer outside Lake George, N.Y,, that ''Brunswick'' is no longer made in the U.S.A......????

Jeez,,,,,whats next,,,mother's milk ?? he's going with all '' Olhausens'' and ""Peter Vitales'' tables,,,,,he loves the quality and their commitment to their guaranteed product,,,,,

I would guess,,,''Diamond '' would be up in that catagory too,,,,

Good luck friend,,,,,,,,

Diamond is light years ahead of either. Olhausens only have good marketing, and Vitale's are great furniture. I would take a Brunswick over both of these as well. I would prefer a Diamond, but that GC is still #2 to me.

Whatever it is, Glen (Realkingcobra) can fix it. It'll be worth what he charges to get it fixed once and for all.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I'd say your dealer sucks big time.

I am curious though, how on earth did you get the table in your car?

I heard a couple of years ago that not all Vitali's are made in the US either. Just the higher end and custom tables.

Diamond is definately putting a hurting on Brunswicks these days, but I still prefer the old antique Brunswicks over just about anything.
Except for maybe my Sonier-Wilhem.
Contact Brunswick directly, too many dealers have guys that have no idea of how to deal with problems that their table guys create.

Agreed - except OP shouldn't have to pay to correct what seems to be the selling dealers responsibility.

The boxes containing the frame and aprons (just wood parts, no hardware) of my Gold Crown were marked "Made in Brazil." Everything else was marked "Made in the U.S.A."

I think a Diamond is the best around. Would be nice to own one but I would recommend and prefer a Diamond over ANY table made right now.

PS-Muttley check your PM's bro:wink:

Yep if what he is saying is true (not saying he isnt, but there is always two sides to every story) Brunswick should be ashamed. I would even contact local t.v. stations that do those "on your side" segments and it might help put pressure on them to fix the problem or replace the p.o.s.

Good luck with your problem!

What area do you live in?

The boxes with the rails in them also say "Made In Brazil". Actually all the wood parts on the new Gold Crowns come from their Brazilian factory. The metal parts are still made in the USA. The Gold Crown V may be the best Gold Crown yet. They had to improve it to keep up with the competition (Diamond).

Yeah, get a really good mechanic to check it out. Has anyone else had the same kind of problems with the GC5?
I'm gonna take some sh@t here I know, but for me Diamonds are not an option. I was so excited to try one recently for the first time and was really disappointed. The cushions seemed higher off the bed of the table. The running english takes off from the rail and the inside english doesn't deaden the ball off the rail. Can't double bank with heavy english (missing bank long with heavy inside english to make in other side pocket). Very well made table, just drastically different from what I grew up playing on.
Any one feel the same way? OK.....let me have it! LOL.

I agree

First of all. I would like to say, that I am sorry to hear all the problems that the "Professor" is having with his table. The best way to go is to get in touch with a good known table mechanic.
I do agree about the Diamond tables. They are a good table but if I did not have the table that I have. I would want one of three tables:
The Centennial
The Anniversary
Gold Crown I

They would all have to have a ball return.
It is good to hear that the Gold Crown V's are well made.

Hi there,

I think get the right table worker is the first thing to do, ur dealer's worker had very bad workmanship.

Man $7000, u can buy few 2hand bruns or few 2hand olhausen from overseas.

Anyway, $7000, u should call lawyear, to ask return..............

best regards

This could be due to improper installation of the cloth if Im not mistaken. I would think its more of who set it up than the table.
